I'm feeling a little insulted that it wasn't even a good virus
-- the code had errors. Since 1984 I've had one virus and that one turned out to be innocuous. However, I've always used virus protection on my Macs just in case.
One thing that Mac users need to keep in mind is that even though the odds of catching a virus on their own machines is very small (at present) they can still be carriers by passing through a virus received from a Windows machine to other Windows machines. We really need to be as vigilant and careful as Windows users for everyone's sake.
