All I have to say is...wow... The building itself is awesome (in the original meaning of the word for you Eddie Izzard fans). But all the props that come with it? I shudder in anticipation at getting the time to really sit down and get busy with this! Kudos Maggiore! |

With robby, this is the place to gush... I must admit that I haven't bought the set yet, but the presentation page is very well done. The quality of the little "teaser trailer," with the (I believe) new logo, flavor text (very cool) and extensive/multi-angle pan shots shows the overall development of the company's presentation skills. By repeating in the side bar that this set is just the beginning of an entire city (map shown on the trailer...sweet!) has to be making all the gamers who see it salivate (yours truly included). I really am impressed. Keep up the good work. Question: Does the set come with any further information of Himmelveil (maps, demographics and such)? Impressed: -Polycarp |

Hmmm, as a note - this is not a medieval building, but rather Rennaisance to Victorian, having a Mansart roof. It would be perfectly at home in any city built between 1500 and 1900. It became popular in the 1860s United States when changes to property tax laws defined the taxable rooms of the building as being those above the foundation and below the roofline, as it allowed a completely useable floor that was not taxed. (Oh, the pointless trivia that gamers pick up...) Given that D&D has full plate armor the typical D&D world fits into the early portion of that time, sans gunpowder. Sorry about that, just a pedantic moment. The Auld Grump |
