There's been some discussion on the topic of standees, both recent (http://www.worldworksgames.com/forum/vi ... php?t=2405) and long-term, and it's even sparked some discussion in the "backrooms". So I figure now's a good time to start getting a solid idea of what your interest level and expectations look like. Toss your opinions in here...we want to hear 'em. 1) Would you even be interested in a "standee pack" from WorldWorks? Those answering NO may skip the remaining questions. 2) How large of a standee pack would you like to see, in terms of total models, semi-unique models (different shirt colors, etc.), and unique models? What would you be willing to pay for such a pack? 3) What genre(s) would you be most interested in seeing Standees for? 4) What, if anything, would you like to see accompany the standees themselves? |

Genres: Modern - Bystandards(Office, Clerks, Pedestrians, Vendors) - Zombies & victims(corpses) - Police(both standard & swat), Rogue Mobs(ie vigilanties, ball bat/weapon armed civilians). SciFi - (Military units) Standing, Kneeling, Prone variations for war/skirmish type games. Various weapons. - Aliens (pick your usual bug type units) for the above to fight in city skirmishes. Fantasy - Skeleton Pirtates for both the Maiden & Skull Cove. - Pulpy heroes/baddies figures for said sets. (Mad scientist, mad robots,) - Arena Works - Minotaur, Lions, Tiges, Bears(oh my), various Gladiators, Bystandards Decent sized packs would be nice. If they could be made customizable... (ie. Standard body forms, with weapon choices to cut and glue on might be really intersting). Some of those 2.5d models would be interesting too. (I can find an example or two if you are unsure of what I mean) ~Floyd |

I'm totally biased in favor of standees (I use them much more often than my metals...) Things I like: -Same proportions as regular metal minis so they can be used side by side and cut out easily -Can be used on regular, standard mini bases -Appropriate Worldworks terrain textures on the base look great -Double sided if possible, single sided if necessary. When facing matters, it's MUCH easier to tell standees apart from behind if they're not solid black. As has been said, standees are perfect for filling out a table with extra folks without needing to buy and paint lots of them. I'd rather see completely unique models than models with different shirt colors, etc. I'd rather see lots of unique models than highly customizeable models, though cut-and-glue on weapons and equipment could be crazy awesome. I'd rather see standees mixed throughout product than tossed in a standee only pack. |

1) Would you even be interested in a "standee pack" from WorldWorks? Those answering NO may skip the remaining questions. I would love to see standees!!! 2) How large of a standee pack would you like to see, in terms of total models, semi-unique models (different shirt colors, etc.), and unique models? What would you be willing to pay for such a pack? I personally would like to see: Townsfolk, barmaids, blacksmith, thugs, ect. Maybe some livestock. Horses for the stables or to pull the carts. Pigs, sheep, goats??? UNDEAD! skeletons{please} and not just human. dwarf, elf, any race you can think of. Monsters orcs, goblins, ect. I have never had a issue with World Works prices. You guys always give allot of bang for the buck, so charge what you think is fair. 3) What genre(s) would you be most interested in seeing Standees for? I am strictly fantasy at the moment but I say cover all your bases. Do fantasy, modern, sci-fi. Don’t leave anybody out. 4) What, if anything, would you like to see accompany the standees themselves? I’m not going to push my luck. ![]() |

1) Yes! 2) Big with lots of variety. I'd pay $10 to $15 depending on the size of the pack(s). 3) Mostly fantasy. 4) Monster standies! |

For me, generic townspeople would be a waste. The occupants of the Himmelveil sets might be interesting, but I'd be more interested in seeing more unique personalities. I won't name names but there are a few companies that do stand-ups extremely well, so it would take something special and unique to compete. I'm a WWG supporter so I'd buy em anyway, of course. ![]() |

While other companies make modern standees, I haven't found any that mesh well with normal wargaming minis. Worldworks would be the first in this regard. We want standees to fill out our table, *not* replace all of our minis. Go WW. ![]() |

My preference is for Sci Fi sets along the lines of Star Wars and Traveller which could also have some Modern application. A mix of unique characters (for PCs or main NPCs), cast extras, and military/police units would be nice. Robots and androids would be useful as would alien flora and fauna. I would prefer somewhat neutral poses in general since a figure kneeling and firing a rifle or charging and swinging a club are a little strange for activities such as negotiations, etc. (Perhaps a figure could be presented in both neutral and combat poses as an altenative.) As part of a set I would like to see the color figures be replicated in a grey outline format so that they could be customized with watercolors, colored pencils, markers, etc. I have most of the SJG Cardboard Heroes which provides quite a selection but I'm always finding that I need something more for a particular role or just for variety. (Compatibility with Cardboard Heroes, at least in a similar scale, would be nice.) |
