Skull Cove is a great set. I think it's also the largest in terms of number of pieces, so it's a good value too. |

Though this is very much an Apples to Oranges comparison - they are so very different. That said, I have gotten a lot more use out of Skull Cove. The boats, the buildings, and above all, the crane. (Yes, the crane - I have used that silly thing in at least three RPG scenarios, and two WARMACHINE scenarios. ![]() The towers for the fort have also seen use - I used them for the towers on the second build of my tower bridge. Which reminds me, a new game store is opening in the area, and the owners have asked me to run events for them - feeling that I did a good job doing so before my, ahem, problems with the management of the previous, now defunct, store. (Someone stole the WW terrain that was supposed to be the prize of an event that I was going to run. The manager asked when I would have a replacement finished - I was not getting paid for running the event, the item had to have walked right past him (it was during his shift), and rather than an apology he wanted to know when I would replace it. I canceled the event instead, which angered him. This from a person who never thought to thank me for running events for the store in the first place... Yes, I am still bitter about that. ![]() So I may start building some more elaborate terrain again. ![]() The Auld Grump, and now, to bed! |

Just picked up Skull Cove. What a nice set. Loads of bits and pieces. Love the cliffs. Think I may have to put a set together. Just one thing. Is there a "no grid" island? I'm not much of a griddy person really. Mr Blackhammer |
