I bought DungeonWorks and tried printing to both 110 lb Hammermill cardstock and NCR deluxe glossy photo paper (I also have an Epson Stylus 777). I have to say that it was no comparison -- you lose a lot of the quality of the outstanding artwork if you print to cardstock. I found that the photo paper was thick enough I didn't even need cardstock (I use plastic GW miniatures, so they aren't that heavy). Also, I was using 720 DPI and noticed that it was going through a lot of ink. I tried 360 DPI and was unable to see a difference in quality (hopefully I will see a difference in ink usage, though!) |

i would believe that photo paper would make it look better. it makes almost anything look better, but it tends to be really expensive. |

I just couldn't stand to see the degradation in quality from what was on screen to what was being printed on the cardstock. It will be interesting to see what the overall $ amount is when all is said and done (ouch). But so far, I have to say it looks DAMN good

If anyone has a resource for "cheap" photo quality paper please let everyone know about it! My eyes are pealed. I know that in the early stages of making models I was using photo gloss paper and it looked fantastic. The color transitions and overall reproduction was fantastic. The obvious problem is the cost. And yes...you only need to print at 360 DPI. Its something I have to go back and change in previous manuals although it is changed on the website tutorials. |

I also found a site for ink, and this is the link to Epson 777 compatible ink: http://www.thepaperseller.com/photoglossycardstock.asp Looks like they have ink for all brands and models of printers. Of course, the printer makers say "Warranty not valid if using some 3rd party ink" ... I wonder why they say that? Hehehehe |

that web sight is cool and they have a special for 200 sheets for the price of 100 but it is still 10$ for shipping. but ofr 25% your looking at 200 sheets of cardstock photo gloss paper |

they also sell magnetic photo paper. hmmm.. that could be very useful with some of the products worldworks puts out. |
