I suppose with some careful cutting you could paste walls from InteriorWorks into the VillageWorks buildings but that’s not how the set is intended to be used. Instead, there will be different wall sections and materials that you layout in much the same way as DungeonWorks. There will be corridor pieces and floating walls and of course the laundry list of props. I want players to get in the habit of switching between preset Masterboards as their campaigns evolve. When you’re outside you use the VillageWorks board, inside the InteriorWorks board and so on. I limited the Masterboard size so that they don’t take up the entire table but still offer a large enough play area for most games. Realistically you could easily fit two Masterboards side by side on an average table to bounce back and forth to various settings. I thought about including interiors with VillageWorks but I found that the space was just too limiting. I ended up bumping things around far too much while trying to cram in props and figures. When I take players inside a building I want them to be able to move around easily, thus following the DungeonWorks road seemed a much smarter route. I suppose it’s the Dr.Who Tartis effect to a certain extent :P |
