Curse you for an evil, naughty person, Denny! ![]() Four days ago, I was a regular DM, merrily drawing out my campaign battle scenes on a whiteboard and going on about my business. Three days ago, I see a post on Monte Cook's boards showing some absolutely gorgeous cardboard settings...so I go and check it out. Sure enough, it's a thing of beauty. A lunch hour discussion with my dear wife, and I'm out the price of all three WorldWorks sets (yes, I'll be back to RPGNow to post reviews...very positive ones). Two days ago, and after a fair amount of shopping and asking questions, I've placed an order off of UBid (current special, $2.95 shipping). A brand new HP 2110 Color Printer/Scanner/Copier is now on it's way to replace the old junker that doesn't feed paper worth a darn. Now here I am...PDFs on computer, printer on order, and not a sheet of cardstock anywhere in sight. I'm out nearly $300 (after ink, will be closer still when I buy a huge bundle of cardstock), my new printer hasn't even shipped yet, and I'm itching to get printing! Thanks for the wonderful product...if only the waiting wasn't so torturous. Thanks again, for having looked through Villageworks, I see you've gone to white for your glue-tabs and cutouts (no need to burn ink for stuff you aren't keeping). You've got a new fan who's thoroughly hooked. I'll be borrowing a digital camera and sending in some user photos in due time. Andorax |

Andorax, I laughed out loud when you mentioned your lunchtime "discussion" with your wife prior to taking the plunge. You’re among friends here! Ah, remember the days when our decisions were our own?...lol... If you’re looking for 110lb card stock (and you live in North America) try Wal-Mart. They sell 150 sheets of Georgia-Pacific card for $7.00. Thank you for the heartfelt and supportive message and please keep us all up to date, as you get further along. Talk to you soon ;D P.S. What thread was that on Monte's site? I'm curious as to what people are saying. Good? Bad? Its all good ;) |

Honestly, I can't tell you. I just went back to check in the thread I *thought* I saw your site mentioned in, but it's not mentioned there. So now I have *no* idea where it was I heard about you from ??? I'm an active poster in the "Return to the Temple of Elemental Evil" forum there, and one of my first tasks once I do get my new printer in will be to reproduce a couple of sites from in that adventure (and more once Cavernworks comes out). I'll definately be posting both here and there pictures of my efforts. |

Well, the printer's arrived, and the first stash of cardstock is already running low. I can't say thanks enough for these great models. I've been having a grand time printing, cutting, folding, and gluing along...and I haven't even had a gaming night yet to spring them on my players! Keep the great stuff coming. I can't wait for Cavernworks, and I am so very glad I had the foresight to order spare ink cartridges ahead of time ![]() |

Hey hey Andorax, I believe it may have been my post that you are referring to, from Monte's Return To The Temple Of Elemental Evil forum. It was a post about some minis I have been painting for my RTTTOEE campaign, and I linked to a webpage with some of my (albiet very blurry) pics. I mentioned WorldWorks in my post because I used DungeonWorks as the backdrop for my pics. Here's a link to the post : http://pub58.ezboard.com/fokayyourturnf ... 2632.topic And here's a direct link to the page for any RTTTOEE players (don't go looking at the forum unless you want the campaign MAJORLY ruined) : http://tharizdun.jetcow.com Also, I just used DungeonWorks for the first time in an actual game setting. I am using it for the Outer Fane in RTTTOEE, and it works GREAT. Now I just need to steal the idea about purple lightbulbs that someone mentioned on that forum, and I may well have some really atmospheric settings on the go ......... ;D |

Ah....THERE it was. Yup, that was the post I saw which led me here. Thanks...I'm in the process of printing up the Recovered Temple in my off time and merrily folding away. |
