Welcome to the boards Wintremute! On the subject of samples, almost all of the older sets have model samples on their product pages. The coolest (but easily the hardest to build) would be the shuttle from First Light. Sacretis |

Yeah, I feel stupid. After posting my question, I went to check out the Dragon God movie, and saw a bright orange square that said SAMPLES. I've been so busy checking out the photos, I never really paid attention to anything else. Thank you for the ultra fast response though!

Ya, sorry I didn't get to you, I had just read your post when work finally called and told me to come in, with just eneogh time to grab my stuff and head out the door so I had to leave you to someone elses capable hands, of which you'll find many here on the WorldWorks forums. If you need help you'll find we are a helpful bunch, no matter how off the question, mostly  .
Welcome to the forums wintremute, hope you find the samples to your liking. A minor recomendation, the shuttle is one of the more complicated build samples, and gives you a good idea how fun some of the things at WW's can be to build, you might want to start with one or two of the other samples to practice on before tackling the shuttle. Also check out Denny's tutorial videos, they can be extremely helpful if you find your stuck or have a question, they are located on the store page under the tutorial dropdown list, though many of us will suggest you do your edging before gluing rather than after. |

Likewise, welcome aboard! Beyond the free samples (IMHO), if you're looking for an easy, cheap set to try out on your gaming group (or mini battle), I would recommend the Hilltop and Portal set. It's easy to assemble and provides some simple props that look sweet. Luck to your building! -Polycarp |
