Anyone that tells you that cardstock terrain is a brisk business is blowing a brisk wind up your skirt ![]() Our strongest sales happen just after a products launch for roughly one month and this essentially gives us the funds to continue development on the next product. After that time sales taper off to a slow trickle. Usually we get residual sales on older products when a new set launches as well. It's just enough to "keep going". As to which product sell the best; I can't really give you a clear answer here as they all jockey for that position as peoples tastes and needs change. For the most part our sets are on equal grounds if you factor in a sales curve based on release date. I wish I could be more open here but I can't give you an absolute sales breakdown for obvious reasons. Maybe when we open ourselves up to investors...lol The WorldWorks store does much better business than RPGNow or any other secondary storefronts, which is why you don't see us diligently updating those stores. With the percentage ratios they need from us and the oversaturation of the terrain markets there it just isn't worth it in many cases to keep those "off site" catalogs up to date. Our time is better spent tweaking the WorldWorks store and the products we present here. Which we are hard at work on behind the scenes right this moment by the way ![]() |

And a semi-pseudo-sort of related question - How well is Rezolution doing for its parent company, and how well are the WW Rez sets doing? Not details, just a few broad strokes. I had thougt that we might see more releases in the line following Mars Station. (Nice set, by the by, if I ever end up running a Firefly game I may be using the buildings, much of the other stuff has already seen use.) The Auld Grump |

Many games these days seem to be just another rules set to do the same old things...I am finding myself cherry-picking the miniatures for figures that appeal to my taste in other games, ie., Traveler or Savage Worlds or WarMachine and then adding terrain to match the genre. Rezolution's example is CSO that I like, but most of the others I can't find anyone else who wants to play them, heh. Generic open ended rules seem to be appealing these days and then add miniatures, and certainly pre-painted is a big draw if they don't go too far or become too specific. So far, most of the StarShip Troopers have had a use for me inside or outside their game, pre-painted is even more of a draw. Be real fun to see where this all leads... |
