.... have the download charges for the kitbash items gone up significantly recently ? Unfortunately, I can't find my old receipts for the couple of kitbashes I have purchased, but they seem more expensive than I remember. Anybody else noticed this, or is the old brainbox just not what it used to be ? Frank |

Kitbashes went up based on a scale that Aubrey and myself came up with to more realistically deal with that end of things. We realized over time that one price does not fit all and decided to categorize items into different pricing zones based on their size or page count and utility. This also sets the store up for some upcoming "micro releases" which are essentially huge kitbash submissions we couldn't handle under the old setup. Because we put a new focus on Kitbashes to embrace the community further that also equals a substantial time investment on our part. Long story short the minor price increase is to account for Aubrey's time cleaning up files, communicating with the KB crowd, organizing the KB database, creating bi-monthly updates and ultimately to sustain a business model that doesn't hurt our core sales or take focus away from our original model sets. Hope that answers your questions and that you understand our decision to tweak that end of things. |

Just to add to what Denny said, there were a lot of pricing inconsistencies with the old setup. This really helps to clean up what's there, and make the prices far more consistent across the board. It's a process that's evolving, and in a very good way. We'll be seeing some of the far larger mega-bashes (or whatever we'll end up calling them) in the not too distant future. ![]() |
