I bought Dungeonworks last week, and finally got started putting things together this weekend. I'm really impressed with this product. I've put together paper dungeons before, but this set really impresses me with it's beautiful artwork and extreme ease in construction. I just finished making my masterboard, and it looks great!! I decided I didn't want to take the chance of foamboard warping, so I used some scrap 3/4" plywood to make a 28"x26" gameboard that folds using a piece of continuous hinge. The border pieces really make it look professional, and the tip about using a marker to blacken the seams finishes it nicely. My wife was really impressed and I can't wait to get the other pieces put together and spring it on my players. Great job, Denny! Keep putting out the amazing product. Steve P.S.: Has anyone had any luck with some sort of clearcoat to protect the tiles? Something that doesn't make the ink blur and smear? |

Thank you so much for the positive words CarJack and welcome to the forum! My only fear is that you might hate me when I release the DungeonWorks Expansion pack with much more detailed floor designs. If you want to design the "Ultimate Masterboard" you should check out Luthyr's "MDF MASTERBOARD" project here: http://www.worldworksgames.com/cgi-bin/yabb/YaBB.pl?board=modeling;action=display;num=1051048379 . Oh, how could I hate you??? If I decide to use the expansion flooring, all I need to is pull up the floor I have on the plywood, hit it a few times with the random-orbit sander to smooth it out and glue down a new floor set. Ahh, life with access to power tools.... Steve |

Or for simplicity, perhaps just stick down the new stuff on top of the existing and cover it up? Sometimes even power tools are too much work :) |
