For those of you that design your own maps for RPGing, do you make your maps with Worldworks products in mind knowing you'll need x amount of wall units for this part and a fireplace here, ect. or do you make the products fit the maps as close as they can? I wonder since I picked up inns & taverns. I think I am going to rethink my mapping process to make better use of this product. |

Good topic! To begin with I was using the WW range to replicate as best I could existing maps. With the advent of the IW series I'm now planning on working my maps around the WW sets and dimensions etc - for example, any future village I design, the maps will be based on VW, and any interiors will use the available dimensions of the VW houses and be kitted out with the (whenever available) contents of the H&H IW set. That's definitely the way I will design any future pubs/inns for fantasy or medieval now, using the facilities within the P&I set. |

What I draw out ahead of time for maps is merely a guideline. What I lay out on the battleboard is what actually matters. |

I just figure out what I need and then build it on the spot. Our group tends to play pretty fast and loose, and our adventures tend to be more event based, rather then site based. What I love Worldworks stuff for is adding all the little details to the battlefield that are so easy for me to forget. Parts of buildings, walls, furniture. Oh yeah, definately furniture. It makes it all so much more real. Wow, I just realized how old I am. I didn't used to need this stuff to visualize my games. I better stop before I get too depressed... |
