First off, just have picked up 3 of the worldworks settings, and they kick butt.  Havent even put any of them together yet, but already i'm sold.  Was thinking of getting the Dungeonworks expansion as well, but after reading through the forums I'm still not sure.  Personally, i'm much more interested in the props and such than the walls and corridors, so are pretty much all of the props going to get revamped in the expansion, or mainly just the wall sections?  I don't mind buying both books even, but I hate to spend 40+ hours putting everything together and then finding out the expansion has the same stuff but way cooler.  Soooo, what do you guys think from everything you know/have read?  Should someone in my position wait for the expansion??

First off welcome to the forum Arris!

That’s a great question and I can understand your confusion. Even though the wall/corridor design will be changing in the expansion there are still a ton of props you will want from the original DungeonWorks set. This is partly why I reduced the price of DungeonWorks to $10.00. Part of the reason for this expansion is mechanics. I’m trying to make the original DungeonWorks release more in line with newer model sets. While the old corridor sections look fantastic and there is nothing wrong with them mechanically they take much longer to build than the new ones (as seen in CaveWorks).  

Beyond the changed corridor designs this is an “expansion” in every sense of the word. You guys are going to flip when you see the trap pack that’s included in this set. I would rather let the suspense build until the release but rest assured there is a ton of content in here that you will want. In the end I think most people will add this set to their collection to further enhance DungeonWorks and bring it up to par with other sets.

So, I suppose your safest bet would be to purchase the expansion first. If you like what you see and you want more props pick up the original DungeonWorks. You’ll be able to compare the props list with the expansion at release time to better understand which set has what. Hope that helps. Happy folding and thank you for your support!

Sounds sweet!  I'll probably go ahead and just pick up both books then, since it sounds like there's enough different content in both to keep my fingers sore for quite a while.  Thanks for the quick response, and can't wait to see the expansion!   ;D
