Post subject: | pre-printed pages |
In the video tutorial, the host mentioned "now that you've printed, or better yet, bought your pre-printed sheets of your model..." My question is this: How do we buy pre-printed sheets of the models we want? |

Actually, Chunky Dungeons was available for a time in a preprinted package. Still is if you look around - ebay, frpgames, a few other places. CWU and the Maiden were released at point on CDs and distributed to game stores, but they simply contained the PDFs that you can purchase through the store. I believe there is some talk of doing preprinting again in the future, but I don't know any details. |

Not wanting to step on toes, but as good as that might sound, the pre-printed product(s) never went anywhere because it was cost prohibitive, IIRC. Yes, you'd get a really good quality print job from whoever Denny used, but costwise, they just wouldn't work as well as the current PDF system! More importantly, with the PDF system, you can print out as many as you want, while with pre-printeds, you're stuck with a finite number of pieces. Oh and you're also stuck with whatever was included in the package instead of just printing what you want. I think Denny made the right decision concerning the pre-prints. At least at that time. Maybe in the future, it'll be more cost effective, but I'll still be buying the PDFs!
