WEST COAST WWG GET TOGETHER

Hey guys! On saturday I'm flying out to San Diego, and then over the next 2 weeks, we're going to be driving up the coast, reaching San Francisco on the 17th. We're flying back on the 21st. I was thinking that while we're out there, I would love to get the bay area worldworks gamers together. The obvious meeting place would be Aubreys gaming store, but I dont think I can get a ride all the way out there. Endgame was another prospect, and it's possible I could get a ride. Either way, could anyone who could possibly show up post when you're availabe? Right now we're looking at that tuesday or thursday afternoon, but that's subject to change. Replies ASAP would be appreciated, I don't want to spend the entire trip in internet cafes trying to figure this out...

Oh hell, the 18th? I musta missed that part somehow. Here I was thinking it was today or Thursday. I'll be back in Texas by then. Damn. I was thinking of driving up tomorrow and hanging out until Thursday. Guess I'll think again.

hey robby, where are you? I'm currently in L.A. If you are anywhere near, we could get to a gaming store on thursday and hang out for a bit. I'm heading up north on friday, but I don't currently have any plans for thursday.

I'm about to leave the hotel in L.A. with internet access, so this may be my last post. I think we're looking at 3 pm - 10ish the 18th at Endgame Oakland. Funny thing is- we haven't even figured out what we're going to do! I think we have a couple of options, but sadly, they all rely entirely on you guys, as being out of town, I don't have anything gaming-wise with me. The most involving option would be for one of you guys to pull together a one-shot adventure for us to run through, but that would take a lot of work, and we might have to scrounge for more players at the store. A far less involving option would be for either of you to bring some of your favourite boardgames (settlers of catan, descent, ect. ) and to start up a game. In any case, you guys should bring some wwg printouts and cutting, scoring, folding, and glueing supplies so we can put some stuff together. Oh, do either of you guys play warmachine? If either of you brought an extra faction we could have a lot of fun battleing each other and other gamers in the store, as I'm just geting into it. Sorry for laying so much responsibility on you guys :lol:

You probably won't read this till later Sacretis, but if one of the other WWG guys you meet on the 18th would be so kind to tell you this or when you read it after getting home...

Hope you have a great time with the guys at Endgame. I'm jealous that you're getting this opportunity to meet some of the forum members face to face. Make sure you let everyone know who you met and what kind of things you did.

If I'm ever headed to one of the cities where WWG members live at, I'll be sure to do the same thing you did and warn everyone ahead of time that I'll be there. More than likely, the first place I'll be going is California, but that's probably not going to be for a few months to a year at the earliest, but I'll be looking Aleph13 up for sure!

You guys make sure to take care of our 15 year old forum member and have fun too!

Heh - looks like I'm not going to be saying too much tomorrow. I appear to have lost my voice over the weekend.

I would definitely be up for some roleplaying, if anyone has a one-shot they can run. I'll play the mute dwarf

Wow, summer can really make you lazy can't it?

I decided I'd finally get around to posting the pics...

Like Aleph said, we had a TON of fun. He totally schooled Conail and I in settlers (you could blame inexperience :wink:

) and then we all decided to play a new game of "moderate complexity". After spending close to an hour reading the rules aloud, we managed to get a couple minutes of Vampire, Prince of the City in before we had to end it.

Anyway, here are the pics... NOTE: They're huge. I'll shrink 'em down to viewabe size when I get the chance... :roll:
