Heya, I take it SeaWorks is next on the list? Any chance we'll see previews of that any time soon? I just started a sea-based campaign, and I think SeaWorks will be perfect for it! |

SeaWorks is being worked on...You probably wont see any preview pics until about mid November. Gothic Realms turned out to be a bit more ambitious than originally intended so SeaWorks started a little late. The minute I have something worthy of showing I'll start a preview thread. The set should be ready for release near the end of November then it’s on to CastleWorks Ultimate and a few other surprises

I will admit that Sea Works has me drooling for more info. Any chance of a list of what is likely to be in it? A nautically themed Interior Works set would also be good, I run a 7th Sea game - Interior Works has been a big help there, the players seem much more willing to have their characters leap up on tables if there is a table to leap up on. (I did have to leave the black areas on the model - the tables collapsed under the weight of a figure too easily otherwise.) The Auld Grump |

As to the list I cant say quite yet. I cant really give you a list until Im closer to release. The set will have some unexpected elements to it. You'll have to wait and see. Busy, busy month here at WorldWorks...off to work I go. |

Any previews available of SeaWorks yet? I just watched the animated "Sinbad: Legend of the Seven Seas" movie and it's got a couple of great ideas for cool ship designs. Here's hoping for some preview shots! :-) |

For a ripping tale of men at sea, go see "Master and Commander", a most excellent mini-tour of the Napoleonic-era Brit Navy. Very authentic too, I was impressed. Pirates of the Caribbean was a good fun romp too, I didn't expect much from it and it pleasantly surprised me. Back to the AW release party... |

When will Seaworks be done? - The first installment of Seaworks will reach everyone by December What will Seaworks be comprised of? - Paul and I have gone into a black ops like silence about all this. There are spies in our midst damnit! We will release preview pics but only days before a release. |

Hmmm, $15 seems like a happy medium price to me - I know that I haven't bought any Skeleton Key maps, but have almost all your sets. Timing to coincide with your release, well... It might have been a good idea to talk to you first so that it could be announced as a joint project - more sales for both products. *Takes a look at RPGNow...* Meh. 8 bucks is a little steep for what they are showing, for twice as much I get a lot more that twice as good. I can't help but wonder how their sales compare with yours. Though I do notice that you pretty consistently rank above them on the best seller list. Arena Works 14 Colloseum 15. And Castle Works, Dungeon Works, Gothic Realms, and Cave Works are the top 4 for the terrain category. Skeleton Key did manage to nab number 5. No, you definetly produce more bang for the buck. The same reason I pretty much stopped buying Dirt Cheep stuff - yours is better. The only Dirt Cheep stuff I am even considering right now is their siege set, and only because there aren't currently any alternatives. The Auld Grump *EDIT* I have sent several customers your way - one of the selling points is the low price to get the sets. Even a 15 year old can usually manage to swing it by the parents. I know at least one kid who having purchased Castle Works has been going berserk with it - doing custom jobs like diagonal walls and just enjoying himself in general. (Well okay, he's not a kid any more - but he was when I was his teacher in a summer program... Now he has a wife. Pardon me while I feel old.  )

I agree, $15 is just right. Sure I would pay $20 for one of your sets but that might be off-putting to the casual RPGNow customer. I've purchased all the sets except for Arenaworks up till now and I get a lot of mileage out of them...money well spent, but thats cause I know the product. Maybe you could include a demo piece from each new set so new customers can see the skillz. ;) (I know there are freebies on the site as well) And you're right...the e-Adventure tiles are waaaay overpriced. The average D&Der would find them perfect though. Unfortunately your fanbase is in more of a niche. Just do your thing Denny! :) |
