I'm please to hear about what you did like. As for what you didn't care for...all I can offer there is that the tree, in profile, is actually very similar to many types of evergreen tree. I don't know what climate you're in or what you're familar with, but hereabouts it's not at all uncommon to see trees that come clear to the ground like that. For example: We'll definately keep your input in mind for future development and any other trees we may do down the line (having done an evergreen, we'll likely pursue a deciduous next time 'round). I can tell you that structural strength wasn't the main concern for why we did the tree this way...it was because that's how the tree should have looked. |

I will admit that I cheat in regards to the Dinas Trees - I use Woodland Scenics trees on the table, only replacing them with the Dinas Trees when there are people actually in the trees. But I agree - some bigger trees would be nice. The Auld Grump |

Hm, a large oak may be fairly sturdy if the roots are spread correctly to provide a large base area. |
