Post subject: | Help to Build WorldWorks FAQ |
Hi, folks. As you may know, the WorldWorks website is slated for a facelift early in the New Year, and (thanks Stouthammer) I'm hoping to help Denny get a FAQ up and running to go along with it. I'd like to include the usual types of questions: "Who is WorldWorks Games?" through "What is cardstock modelling?" and "What supplies do I need?" to techie type questions like "Help! My printer is cutting off the pages!" and "How can I scale up/down the models?" I'm going to bang together a text-only and put it in my ISP's "webspace" tonight () and I'd love it if you guys could help me flesh it out. Any questions you'd like to see answered in the WWG FAQ, post 'em here. Thanks! D |

I have allways a problem that Im not sure what paper I should use. Im from germany, normal printer paper is 80g/m[sup]2[/sup]. I use 160 g/m[sup]2[/sup]. but not sure if this is similiar to the recomended 20 lbs (?) cardstock. Maybe a few other problems that someone could have with the metric System. The papersize is different, so I print with full page option with 96% or something like this. |

Well, I haven't even had a chance to start on it and here it is two or three days later. I plead Holiday Insanity. I'll get to this project in the next short while, but I don't think anyone's hurting badly for it right now anyhow. Happy Holidays, all. D |

What is WorldWorks? Worldworks is a company that produces .pdf files of scenery for miniature games. Currently, it operates on a file download model, and it's products are available through www.rpgnow.com At present, WorldWorks scenery is based around the fantasy/historic genre, although other time periods and settings are being planned. What are your current product lines? The WorldWorks product list (in order of release) currently consists of: Castleworks VillageWorks CaveWorks InteriorWorks: Pubs & Inns InteriorWorks: Castles and Keeps DungeonWorks: Gothic Realms ArenaWorks So what happened to regular DungeonWorks? DungeonWorks was replaced with DungeonWorks: Gothic Realms. In the near future, CastleWorks Ultimate will be replacing the original CastleWorks in like manner. I've got this really cool idea for X! Our boards have an extensive area for posting ideas for future sets, and expansions to the current sets. No, I mean I've built it myself...drawn it and everything, and I want Denny to sell it. WorldWorks Games is not presently accepting outside submissions, nor is looking to hire anyone else on. By the way, who's Denny? Denny Unger is the owner, creator and was until recently the sole employee of WorldWorks Games. Just recently, Paul Senior came on board as the second designer, and both Slinky and Andorax are assisting as board moderators. As you can see, this isn't a big business. It's a small, personal operation...but one with some very dedicated fans. Ok, so how can I get some free stuff? There are a selection of free models provided . These should give you a taste of what WorldWorks has to offer. More, I need MORE! Well, in the fall of 2003, WorldWorks held the contest. Winners were awarded free WorldWorks products, with the grand prize being a full year's worth. Wait, my question wasn't answered here! Then please feel free to visit our , where you're sure to find good, helpful people willing to assist you. Thanks for paying us a visit! |
