Pretty sweet, and a great idea! As someone who owns both CWU and Chunky Dungeons: what's really different between the old and new sets? Is there a lot of addition and variety that I could use to add to my builds?

Nice to see the forerunners to the greta stuff we have now, plus there does lok like loads of useable stuff, for my Minichunk build and my Castle and Village.

Bother, I'm going to have to hold off for another week or so and just trust they'll still be here then.

I just bought my copy and they're a great value for their price.

A note of caution though, when printing be sure that you choose selected pages for printing.
In these classics the pieces and instructions are in the same pdf file. Unfortunately for
me the adobe defaults caused me to print a couple pages of the instructions when
I went to print up dugeonworks. It is doubly unfortunate that the instuctions are
written on full page black backgrounds.

I tend to begin a new project by printing up some entire element, a catapult or gatehouse, etc. Just so I get something done
right away to kind of motivate me through the bits that are repetative, like walls. So I usually only do the whole file at the very begining.

And to be fair I did know that I needed to print individual pages for this one. I started that way, but my printer acted up and I
began and canceled a half dozen print jobs before I fixed the problem. And by then I forgot. It finally started to print and I stepped
away to do something else and when I got back I also had instructions.

Ah well, I always waste a few pages. At least it was easy to decide what to do with these. I must have 30 pages of things I didn't
need to print, alternative patterns, or different scale floor grids, etc. I don't need them but I'm not going to waste the perfectly good
printed pages.

Dungeonworks classic is 1".

I just taped classic tower together to take the photo, so it will look better when I really assemble it. Note the placement of the tower doors when used with CWU walls. If you set the walls flush with the tower's outer edge the doors are not blocked but the doors frames are.

I'd been wondering about that question too - great to have it confirmed as 1".

Thanks LD2062 for posting those pics - that resolves my other question about CWClassic. It is still extremely good value, just have a better idea of how/where to use it.

p.s. looks like you've done a really nice job on the kanelinks bases too, LD.

If you want a corner tower, make one. It couldn't be simpler. The classic square tower is 3 3/4" accross the CWU is 4 1/2" wide edge to wide edge. So simply take wall sections and cut them short. I'd say 4" for 1" floors and 4 1/2" for the 1.5" floors. Make 4 identical pieces per level of height. Unless you make interiors, that would take 4 more. Blank walls don't even have to be mirrored for interiors.The CWU has extra doors, windows, and even arrow slits in the props folder. So cut some out and glue where ever you like.

If you do interiors glue windows/doors before you connect the sides so that you can more easily place the interior ones.

Make sure you use walls and a base when placing your dorrs/windows. The tower base would not extend beyound the tower walls. The wall bases mean the inside edge of the wall cannot be closer than 1.5" to the courtyard corner of the tower.

Now the top could be more difficult. If you make it a 4.5" tower theres no problem the tops are already that size. If I were making a 4" I'd still use them.

Heres a pic of the classic tower with the top. Granted this tower is a little narrower than 4", but I think having the top wider looks good.

Keep in mind if you use these tops for 1" the tower must be taller than the wall. I'd probably make a half level and glue it to the top itself. But you could simply make the tower 1 level taller than the wall.

The only hard thing I can see is if you want to reduce the size of the tower top. That would envolve a lot of adjustment to the crenelations and the spaces between them. Unless you hit upon a proper scale reduction. Like printing 86% size or something. I haven't a clue how to figure out the reduced scale, I cannot even print mine to a selected scale.
