I went looking for glue today. The local crafts mega store didn't have the UHU #99589 as suggested in the tutorial. So I picked up this. I liked the 3 way applicator and thought it would be okay. UHU #21150 All-Purpose Twist & Glue Once you try this glue, you'll never buy those cheap tubes again! * Dries strong and clear * Ideal for paper, cardboard, wood, felt, fabrics & cork * Can be used to glue these materials to metals, ceramics, glass, polystyrene, foam & many plastics * Washable with soap & water * Acid free formula isᅠ solvent free & non-toxic * Not damaged by freezing * Certified safe - conforms to ASTM D-4236 |

I almost bought one of those this last weekend - was nearly out of glue again and needed to work on a few dozen sheets of card, so a trip to Michaels. Ended up with the larger glue pens instead of the thin ones. Only place I have found the recommended ones here in Dayton was at Office Max, but it wasnt in the neighborhood I was shopping in at the time. That should work, but the formula may be a little different, so just keep an eye on how it performs and let me know. I'd be interested to see as well. The formula between the recommended pen and the larger one seems to have just a little bit more water or something. Works well for large areas, but not so much for the small ones. That one, from looking at it in the store, should work for both, so the only issue will be the water content. Just use sparingly and it should work. Tom |
