Woo-hoo! New WIP update! At 5%, it'll be a while before we see teasers, so let the speculation begin! The description says, "Combat/Apoco". I imagine that means this will be a game focusing on post-apocolyptic vehicle combat, including rules, tiles of ruined roads and highways, models of cars with weird weapons mounted on them, standees with freaky looking individuals (as we saw in "Mad Max"), and some ruined buildings (probably complementing the Mayhem sets).

I'm right there with you on Himmeleveil. Especially since I only own fantasy figures. However the way Red Sector and Shellendrak manor include figures and a game really tempt me to cross genre. |

Also Car Wars. What ever happend to Car Wars? Who remembers the Auto Duel computer game that was on the Apple II series? Lord Abaddon of Wormwood |

I do! I remember it! But my version was not for the Apple II. Loved that game and it's high-quality 4-colour graphics. Went to the e23 site. Looks like Car Wars is no longer in print.

The last iteration of Car Wars was a scaled up version with much simpler rules. I actually preferred it to the older version but I guess not everyone shared my sentiment. 
I can't imagine it will be gone forever, but it is currently out of print. |

Ditto for me. I remember the plastic cases it and O.G.R.E. came in. Perfect size for slipping into your back pack so you and your mates could get a qick game in during lunch at high-school! |

I had the Deluxe Car Wars edition, plus a couple of the pocket edition expansions. It's all somewhere in the game closet. The truck stop module was excellent in it's own right. Just didnt like how small the cars were. I think it would have done better scaled up to Hot Wheels/Matchbox car size. Think we got it at one of the Something To Do shops in the Louisville area back when.... I'll be interested in this new module if it is indeed along those lines. Tom |
