As you all may or may not know I've been working on the new website behind the scenes. I’ve shown a few people the new logo and I've had mixed responses. Some like the stylized, easy read of the old mark while other's like the moody, organic nature of the new mark. I would like to leave this branding decision up to all of your expert consumer eyes if you have time. Which of the following logos would you like to see featured prominently on the new WorldWorks Games site and why? : or |

I prefer the older, 2D one. I find it easier to read, and I dig the cogs and gears for a number of reasons: they imply things like well-engineered and finely tuned, and they hook into the construction/crafting nature of the product; also, they could lend themselves to a variety of "Building Cardstock Worlds" types of corporate catch-phrases. All I can say about the 3D world one is, if you're going to go with it something has to be done to make the text around the equator more clear - if I didn't know it said "World Works Games" I'd have no idea what it said. I too would like to see the 2D version. From a customer stand-point - it is easier to read and doesn't look quite so "cheesy" (personal opinion - others may of course vary). From a company standpoint - I would prefer the 2D one for many reasons, including (but not limited to) the more professional look, ease of reading (making it easier to remember), and the more "moniker" look makes it nicer on business cards and so on. Just one loyal user's opinion

I have to agree about the 2D one. The other thing is, it'll print better and be more readily discernible from the typical customer-to-bookshelf distance if you're putting it on print products. The 3D one looks neato, but I'd go with the 2D one for all the reasons mentioned above as well as brand legibility. You could always keep the 3D one around on the website. -The Masked Designer |

2D works for me. The 3d one looks cool enough, but it just doesn't stirke me as "Hey! We got stuff to craft here!" like the 2d one does. Just a faithful customer's opinion. |

The 2d one of course! It's easier to read and will look better on printed products as well

Well it seems to be a unanimous sentiment. The 2-D logo apparently has better impact for the majority. I really appreciate everyone’s feedback on this. You’ve once again helped me to better define what WorldWorks is all about. Now back to work in the dungeon for me

We seem to already have a consensus, but I thought I'd just throw in my vote for the 2D version as well. It looks really classy, and I agree with everything that was said above. Also, the 3D version looks sort of like a piece of bling-bling from around a rapper's neck! ;D |

I like the 2d. The 3d isn't very colorful, and the lighting and shadows against the letters circling the golden globe isn't done well enough so you can easily read the words. |

2D, definitely. The 3D one is neat, but the 2D is definitely more professional impressive looking. |

I'm a little late on this one, but just to cast my vote: I like the 2d logo much better. Its classy looking. The 3d logo is a little gaudy and not as professional. |

Turning up to the polling booth late as usual, I have absolutely nothing new to add to this discussion it seems - put me down for the 2D :) Clarity is everything in a graphical medium, and whilst I like the 3D one, certainly on anything printed the 2D one is light years ahead. |
