Hey, I know you aren't looking for any artists to add to the World Works Staff, especially since you have Paul now. but would you allow/be interested in User submissions to enhance the current line of Worldworks games? I just so happen to have Photoshop and Acrobat and I am pretty savvy with both. any comments Denny? |

Hi Qball. Just so you're not left hanging: I know that in the past Denny has declined user submissions, and I'm pretty sure that's the current "official" stance. Can't hurt to wait and see, though. D |

Thanks Slinky...Slinky is right, for the most part I’m not currently looking for new designers but on the same hand I never turn submissions away. If you have some outstanding work you would like to show me then by all means send it my way. If it is good enough I may be persuaded to change my mind. Perhaps this is something we can flesh out more in the future FAQ section. A list of guidelines for user submissions? |

A challenge, I love challanges. he he... btw, I have something in the works. it's an alternate floor tile for the pubs & inns set. this one is designed for higher quality inns, that way there is a range of looks. oh, and I'll even include Click and Tileless versions ![]() |

Suggestion for Roleplayers, DO NOT HAVE KIDS!!! your life will no longer exist. lol. anyways, I'm just kidding(well sorta). I am going to have this submission up for denny soon but I haven't had time to work on it as I live a Bi-Weekly Lifestyle(have kids every other week and drop them off at thier mothers tomorrow morning.) perhaps this will convince denny that amatuers can produce decent artwork as well. ![]() I should have the tileset finished for the inn and pub submission for denny by friday morning, but an idea after that may turn Castleworks ultimate, into Castleworks GOLD if its well recieved. heh heh.... thats all I'm gonna say. |

Sounds fine to me, my main computer is down anyways, the power supply died on me. getting it replaced tonight. but about the submissions, I had something partially done before anyways denny, so its not a rush job. but about you being busy, GOOD cause I'm salivating over Castleworks Ultimate. also, I'm gonna take a little more time to make sure its printer friendly by sticking with the lighter side of the color spectrum and save some black or combo colors for printers. (stick it to those printer companies!!!) enough babbling. |

well I finished it, a little later then expected but I finally had about 2 hours to do it. I think it looks great personally. worthy of WorldWorks line at the fear of lack of modesty. actually, two things. one, I haven't done the clicks version yet, but all I have to do is follow my previous formula(written down and easy) but that will be VERY soon, but the gridded and non-gridded versions of the 1" are done. BUT THERE IS TWO VERSIONS MADE. so if denny likes it, you have three types instead of just one now. ![]() |

Qball, please try to be patient and re-read Denny's earlier reply in this thread. He is extremely busy right now. I can see that you're very excited and enthusiastic about this, but right now you're just going to have to wait. Hang in there. I know he's not just ignoring you and that he will get around to looking it over. He's a really great guy to work with...a busy guy, but a great guy. |

your right, I was just annoyed he responded to some in the post right above mine and nothing here... I'm sure he's just not ready to check it out yet. |

Hey guys, As an aside (perhaps something for QBall to think about) I'd love to see the existing maaterboard tiles done with a one-inch hex grid, for systems like GURPS or Hero. Any takers? Bob |

Well bob, I don't know about Denny(would be alot of work for him...) but I'll do a quick offseted squares for simulation of hexes for you... if you want to see how they work and you can use em with GURPS go here... http://www222.pair.com/sjohn/flagstone.htm I'm a GURPS player too, so I understand... have well over 60 books!!! |

Alright Bob, I will have those Staggered FloorPlans for you by the end of the day(only gonna take me 10 min actually as putting 50% transparent Squares isnt exactly brain surgery) about the tilesets I created though, I thought they were great but I looked at them and found some new tricks that would blow it all away, so pretty soon, you will see Yet one MORE kind of Floor Plan... This one will look quite a bit different from the two below. so keep an eye out. btw, now heres the kicker, I also am active on www.realmcreator.com which is a site for a mapping program called MapX. these same "building blocks" I used to create these floor plans I will release shortly after the PDFs as tiles for MapX. So basically, not only am I giving you alternate floorplans for the "Pubs and Inns" set, I'm also giving you the capability to customize it for your own maps!!! Now I have alot of faith in Dennys and Pauls work so I'll say right now that you all should definately buy thier work as it is Excellent. I think I'm just gonna stick to 2D items like Floors and stand back while the experts do thier work. happy printing everyone. |

Looks good, QBall, very good - nice work! I'll have to wait until the end of the month or possibly the middle of Feb to look at picking up the font package though (don't you love those January blues?) if at all as I must admit I'm more of a 'pre-rendered' artwork kinda guy than a 'create it myself' one. |

Post subject: | Re: User Submissions |
nah... never expexted you to. that link was to show you how the staggered squares work with GURPS. sorry I'm late with posting the tiles. had a small set back as 7x7 wont work because when you put them together they get off kilter at the joining spots. and an 8x8 won't work because some printers can't handle the full width. so expect to see some staggered tiles soon, but they will be 6x6 looking a little different then the others. ![]() |

Post subject: | Re: User Submissions |
Nothing wrong with 6x6 squares :) Offset squares are cool (and are in fact ideal for 'squared tile' flooring); it takes a while to get used to the look of it when you're facing one of the offset squares as your 'front' hex, but the functionality is identical to hexes. |
