I love minis. I love collecting minis. I love painting minis. I love playing with minis. I love looking at minis. I love daydreaming about minis I'm going to get. Minis are great fun. We may have to grow up, but it's nice to know we don't have to outgrow our 'army men'.
I've looked into some options for cheap/easy terrain since creating some of those fancy displays I see online and in books I think is just beyond my means. I've wanted something that's versatile, attractive enough, modular, and easily portable. Wow, I think I found it. And it's got a few other benefits to boot! Like not having to buy another copy to get larger sets. The more you use it the cheaper (per use) it gets. And if the dog eats a piece? No problem. And as for how it looks? Wow. Wow. It's goregous
I am a believer in this product. I expect soon I'm gonna buy the WHOLE LINE. It looks like so much fun. Not only will it be great for D&D games, but I'm envisioning playing out some wild battles of the D&D miniatures game in this stuff. And I do mean wild. Skirmishes in labyrinthine dungeons sounds fun.
Or 2-player scenarios like: 1) Building up a village and having an orc raid and guards defending it 2) Building up a village and having two players compete to see who can kill more commoners (sick, I know. But it sounds fun. hehehehe) or 3) building the arena and having gladiator duels against the dire lion that's about to be released.
the mind boggles. this is truly fantastic. Say hello to your newest customer
Welcome aboard! And happy folding to you. Denny really has done an outstanding job bringing us an infinately-reusable form of terrain, and with Pall_S joining the team, we've just that much more to look forward to in the future.
If you ever have any questions, or want to bat ideas around, by all means feel free to ask. The people here are usually quite friendly and willing to lend a hand. Also, if ever you get your hands on a digital camera, then by all means please do take some shots of what you yourself have done with WorldWorks. We love to see what creative uses others have come up!

It's official! I'm now one of you! (One of us! One of us!) Heh. I just went to RPGnow and purchased half the sets.
I got CastleWorks, VillageWorks, DungeonWorks and Gothic Realms
THis isn't to say I'm not as impressed by the other sets. I had to hold my wrist to keep myself from buying them ALL at once, but I figure I should check out a few first. I have very little doubt, I'm gonna come back for the other half in the very near future (those interior sets are practically must haves for the sets I have, caveworks looks fun, and arenaworks is goregous!). But the sets I have I think will be good to start with and have a lot of potential for playing out wacky miniature skirmishes with the D&D minis.
Gothic Realms is downloading in the background. I just wanted to share my joy with you guys at being a customer, for the first, but almost certainly not the last time.
Denny, use that money you get from my purchase to get someone something nice for the holidays
The sets that I've been getting the most use out of my printer lately have been the two Interior Works.
When I first got into World Works it was Village Works and Castle Works, which still see regular use, but I don't need to keep printing them up, once I had the pieces I needed I only needed to reprint any damaged in play.
Gothic Realms will likely see use later, I still have a bunch of Dungeon Works stuff which I am using right now, when enough of that falls by the wayside I will begin replacing it with Gothic Realms. I mix the pieces from Interior Works pretty indescriminately with those of Dungeon Works.
Pirate Haven using Interior Works, Cave Works, and either Dungeon Works or Gothic Realms is still in the planning stage, sice having the lightbulb go on over my head I have redrawn the map three times. (Not a hardship, trust me... I am just addicted to mapping programs. )
The Auld Grump, bridges and stairways... I may have a slight bias in favor of battles taking place at choke points... Hmmm, maybe a few ledges in Cave Works would be fun...
Nullum magnum ingenium sine mixtura dementiae fuit.
I just purchased Caveworks and Dungeonworks. I think this is the greatest thing ever. I have spent the last two days shutting myself off to the world as I prepare my gaming group for a great surprise. I can't tell you how happy I am with these products. I am new to Worldworks and I am already addicted. I am already waiting for Seaworks. Denny, by providing an affordable, reusable, visually fantastic terrain system, you have given us gamers a great service. All I can say is thank you so much.
Welcome aboard, Silidan. If you've the means, we'd love to see pictures of your using WorldWorks in your own campaigns and sessions. In the meantime, if there's any questions you might have, or ideas you'd like to toss out, they're always welcome here.
