Post subject: | Asia Games Zone Convention (June 29 - July 1) |
http://www.asiagameszone.com/ I've been invited to run Savage Worlds at the Asia Games Zone Convention/Exhibition next weekend. Although focused primarily on the Console and PC game industry, this year there will be an area for Board and Tabletop Games. Still considering what to run, though we have been asked to have games related to Console or PC Games......... Don't have much time to construct a new Gaming Board or to paint too many new figures..... I'll submit more details a little later when I've decided what to run. |

Just as an update, I may get bored of "RUN!"ning Zombie games over 20 hours and two days, so I'll probably take all the gribblies used in the Game Reports located on the WWG Blog...... Zombie Munchkins, Jotun, Dragyri (Dark Age), Fallen Santa, Raptors!!! Not sure if I'll be able to get enough of Mel's Drones finished in time.... hopefully they'll provide a new enemy and adventure for the weekend! |

Don't need to leave... the location is at KL Convention Centre (next to those slightly famous Twin Towers!!)... about 5 miles from where I work. Apparently though, there is no free or discounted parking for exhibitors, and that place is damn expensive... *sigh* never mind, should have a couple of fun (if exhausting) days ![]() Oh, and I may only have piccies from Sunday, since the missus wants to borrow the camera on Saturday. I'm sure you lot won't complain too much willya?? LOL |

Spent a bit of time last night planning out the game terrain for the convention... only have a 4'x4' table, so leaving space for character cards, dice, pencils etc, that left me with about 3.5'x3' for the board... here's what I came up with, minus all the locking pieces, street signs, abandoned cars, trash cans etc.. Didn't want it to be too crowded, but still with enough places for all the Zombie Children to jump out from. |

Phew!!! The convention itself was pretty quiet (the organisers really bombed the marketing) but my little corner of the hall was always occupied with players or photographers or little kids managing to escape the clutches of their mothers and making a dash for the 'pretty-pretties'!! ![]() Over the two days, I ran 5 demo games of Savage Worlds, got though almost 50 WWG business cards, and handed out 20 of those 'postcards' I made up. The missus was using the camera on Saturday, so I'm just waiting for a mate to upload the piccies he took on Saturday, then I'll put them with mine from Sunday and get the full report done and posted *grin* Here's just a teaser action shot from one of the demo games to keep y'all happy ![]() "Excuse me, no pets on the Train please!" |

Looking good... can't wait to see more. Although the convention may not have been that busy, it sounds like you were, and it sounds like fun was had by all. Arabin |

It was good fun!! The tabletop/board games area was the busiest section of the hall, especially my booth and the Subbuteo booth. Had to take Emergency Leave yesterday just to recover hahahaha |

Subbuteo is still around? Wow, I haven't thought about that game for many years. Used to be a lot of fun. Arabin |
