I've been using Skull Cove to try to create a water front for use with different modern games (including GOMC-1) after seeing Arabin's Warehouse up front. I love Skull Cove but I really am having a hard time getting it to look good with the modern. I have not purchased the Harbor Master set yet, does that contain any Docks? I am going to purchase it to finish the dock scene, but the Skull Cove ones just don't look right. They look good with Antiquated stuff, but no so hot with modern buildings. I'm thinking I need to do some bashing but with almost no time to work with the models themselves.... I was hoping it already exists. Any other sets that contain docks besides Skull Cove? Thanks. I have Harbormaster, but haven't done anything with it yet. It has stone jetty's (not sure if that's the right word) which might work better for what you are after, especially with a bit of kitbashing. If I remember, I'll try to make up a couple for next time we meet... just remind me closer to the time. You can see them at the bottom left of this image: Arabin |

I think I was over zelous a bit. With the box of mini's I found in the "Stuff to throw away" pile, I have 27k metal minis, 7k plastic minis (GW primarily), and I have the kids counting my WOTC Prepaints but last check was 7.5k. (All numbers rounded to nearest 500 but will precise numbers later). Crap, I've hijacked my own thread. 
OK, I'll start another thread for those who which to have a "sizing" contest over the number of minis they own. I would like this thread to stay on Harbor Scenes. But then that would take away from the WWG Related General Chat. So should I start another thread just for that topic (for suggestions on making the docks etc)? CCotD' |

If you are really talented with tiny little origami figures, you could make little seaguls from normal printer paper to sit around on your docks... *Trying to help get it back on topic* Arabin |

Then I guess someone will have to kiktbash the "Seagull crapped" pilings and dock tiles  (I demand details and realism)
BTW, first 4th of July Injury, a burned thumb and accidently sprayed WD40 in my own face, then managed to get Icy Hot in my eye, when I was patching up one of the kids' badmitton induced sprained ankles ( Hee Hee, while hopping in pain on one foot, he stepped in dog poo!)
Its gonna rock tonight if this is any indication! |
