Sorry it took so long for me to get back to you-- my camera is pretty crummy and it takes a real force of will to justify buying batteries for it. Anyhow, here's a couple shots: --- In one way or another, a "Skinny" Richard Dickson's multi-dimentional Halfway Inn franchise has managed to show up in every single one of our campaigns, yet this was the first time any of the gaming group actually got a chance to see what one looks like. Down on their luck and looking for a job, the party finds themselves facing down a group of cutthroats fighting for a space aboard Captain Jack Brisbane's ship. Think of "The Apprentice", but with more Cutlasses and scurvy. And generally less backstabbing. --- Ok, here's another endorsement: my apartment is basically one chair short when it comes to accomodating my gaming group, so we usually game in my building's card room on the 44th floor. It's really nice and has a fantastic panoramic view of the city, but it's a huge hassle to bring our normal stuff up, so having to schlep a bunch of minis and a Masterboard or two is a bit prohibitive. Therefore, we've been forced to do without for the past couple weeks. This week, the gang faced down a previously unseen evil on the streets of a city they were visiting. Since we didn't have miniatures in the card room, we had to make do with our imaginations (Crummy, lousy imagination! Why can't you be more like PS2?!). After many "Who's closest?" and "How far away am I from guy X now?" questions, we managed to conclude the combat. Later, when everyone went back to my apartment to gather their stuff, I mentioned how disapointed I was that the party had found themselves in a position that I happened to have great minis for and yet I wasn’t able to use them. They asked me to elaborate, so I showed them some of the buildings I had put together from Village Works. Eyes went wide, jaws dropped, and... well... Long story short, it's a given that from now on, we'll be gaming in my place just so we can make use of the models, even if one or two people have to sit on the floor. |

lol...Thats a great story. I love hearing about experiences like this one. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside ;D . Thank you for the pictures and tell your players that I wish I could sit in with them on a game or two! |

Hey, you're more than welcome to join us any time you're in the windy city... Just make sure you bring your own chair. And, if you're feeling particularly generous, bring another chair for the last guy to show up! |
