Hmmm, what time periods do people prefer to set their games in? I lean towards Renaissance/Reformation/Counter Reformation, but that is because I like the politics, the wars, and the cannon... I expect to be in the minority there. This may give some idea as to what terrain might be most eagerly awaited. ![]() The Auld Grump *EDIT* I think I did something similar once upon a time, but danged if I can find it now.... |

Yeah I picked Other as well. I have a High Fantasy game but the tech level is more to Late Roman and Qin Empire than Late Medieval. Working on a Battletech RPG in GURPS Working on a Doctor Who in GURPS GURPS Traveller I'm starting to get back into RPG which is leaving me less time for my tabletop games. |

I opted for late medieval because that one was the only one to mention wizards ![]() We pretty much exclusively play D&D in a vanilla (but homegrown) campaign world. Am working on Something Below at the moment which will fit in wonderfully. Next project will almost definitely be Hellworks based ! Frank |

There are a few Ancients games out there - OGL Ancients and Testament for D20, and of course RuneQuest, which seems like it has been around since the Stone Age. I ran a bronze age game for AD&D 2nd ed, the afterlife was a place you could physically travel to, a long, difficult journey to the mountains beyond the world's edge. I had fun with it. I even started a thread on a world creation newsgroup on creating the pantheon, but lost my internet access before going into too much detail. The first time that I ever had an ISP quietly fold up its tent and disappear into the night. The Auld Grump |
