I have a dumb business question: I understand it takes awhile to make a set. Essentially you are innovating, new textures, new paper geometry (like the new STatues in Hellworks). These take time and should be your most expensive products--in fact I think PD is underpriced myself--anyhoo... Since the general gamer here--yes this is a bold statement and i will probably get flamed hardcore--is a cheap ass like myself, why don't you make smaller 5 dollar packs of little things like standees or something to fill in the gaps. Kind of like when you are standing in line at the cashier they want to rape you for the 3 dollar candy bars etc... Like perhaps start with a Standees collections. They are 2D so no major innocations need to be done there. You could do standee vehicles, WWII planes, anything. |

You'll be happy to note that we are already ahead of you on the Standees curve. Alberto Silva and Matt Cuenca are both hard at work there on various projects. We have a good workflow in place for those kinds of projects so you should start seeing them more frequently. We are also considering small "one off" type of models to fill the production gaps. The big problem there is that when any of us take on something which is at first intended to be small, it quickly spirals into something more ambitious. Once we get a handle on our enthusiasm and boil things down to a single item or two we'll be ok ![]() |

Small Projects? Isn't that what the kitbashes are for? |

awesome, this is great news!!!!. The difference between what I'm talking about and Kitbashes is that 95% of the kitbashes don't really apply to me. I'm collecting Modern and soon, red planet--perhaps gothic as well. Something generic like standees that can be used by EVERYONE in their gaming goodness. I tend to run Savage Worlds which is really fast and you can jump between pulp, fantasy, sci fi etc all within a few sessions of play so having a variety is great. Thank Denny, can't wait to see/buy the standees. |

I agree that small releases would be nice to keep us going while we wait for the big sets, and obviously would keep the money rolling into the WWG Vault. Set like Hilltop Encounter and the Sacrificial Portal were a good idea but unfortunately they stopped. I had hoped that would continue into modern so we would have single small buildings, vehicles, statues, etc. I'm not as keen on the standees, but enough people seem to like them to make it a worthwhile product line to pursue. Yeah, all my projects are notorious for starting small and then ballooning. Skull cove is a prime example. Once you get going, you think of COOL STUFF people are going to LOVE and then...210 piece sets!!! |

The trick would be to keep going when the inspiration is kicking in, and make many models an ideas. But, the core set could be released first, with expansion coming every few weeks or so. This would enable you to keep the passion going into the project, but only need to make the core instructions before release, then work on more of the dreaded instructions as new expansion models are created. Of course, it is nice to get the core sets like Skull Cove or Shellendrak Manor jam packed full of models... Arabin |

I would love to have a booster pack for Shellendrak as well. And definately new walls and floors. Several of us have already been trying to do that on our own. As far as floors go I would actually like to see a "clean" version of the floors too. All the existing floors seem to have a dirty/dusty look to them, even when they're not covered in blood. Which looks great for a zombie game or a abandoned mansion. But it doesn't fit so well if its not an abandoned mansion. Some additional versions of the furniture would be great too. |

A booster pack sounds good to me. It could work not just for Shellendrak though, a booster pack for Mayhem PD could change it from a police station into a normal office block, newspaper office, etc. Arabin |

I have to say you could make $5 sets without them spiraling out of control Examples of things I'd like to see. PC: Weapon Platforms Do up one or two weapon platforms and sell them for $5 Mars Stations expansion LARGE Satelite dish with control building. thats it. just make that and publish. Standees But your doing that already Mayhem 1 building with new skin and different window designs Chunky Dungeons (both versions) Props packs- statues, 3D well rings to go over the water, etc. There are tons of stuff you could do. Release just a few inbetween big sets. |

I would be fine if the booster packs were just reskins, without instructions. As Lord A suggested, there should be a short text file included stating where to find the relevant instructions, but that should be very fast to create. New models would be great, but I can see the problem in that the time to design, create, texture, and write instructions for a single model wouldn't pay off with a low pricepoint. Better to keep those new models to expansion packs instead of booster packs. For example, if Paul ever gets the desire again, I would love to see Marstation expansion pack with new building designs, terrain tiles, vehicles, etc. but in the mean time, he or another designer could reskin the existing elements to give a completely different look. I can instantly see the easiest boosters for Mayhem PD. The helicopter is crying out for a news crew respray, the swat van as a security van (picking up cash from a bank), the internals could be designed as a bank or other things suggested above. I wouldn't pay the same full price for the reskin boosters, because I wouldn't expect the set to contain instructions, or a game (in the case of Shellendrak etc.) but I would pick up all the boosters. I think the instructions should be intentionally left out, but the sets clearly indicate (much clearer than Mayhem Downtown) that it is an expansion/booster and requires the main set to use. Adding the instructions might limit the scope of sales... and would potentially raise the price to nearer the original set. I wouldn't want to pay that extra since I already own the instructions, and someone else would get a bargain and not need to buy the original. Arabin |

Hopefully, the only impact of adding the relevant instructions from the base set would be a larger download size. (The instructions already exist for the models, even if the photos are of models with the orignal set textures.) |
