Greetings, Second post as I am reading through the threads. I am wondering about the chart you have updated. I am interested in all of the modern line and came across your list above: "Sets which are not directly TLX compatible but are still available." Is it that much of a difference if a product is not TLX compatible? I am really interested in some of the modern ones that are not TLX, but the majority of the ones I AM interested in ARE TLX. Does anyone have experience with mixing these products? Are the 'non compatible' ones going to become TLX? Any help is appreciated. Ambrose |

TLX mixes as well with the non TLX stuff as do other sets. Many here mix sets all the time. What you miss is the "TLX' feel of an all TLX build. What you gain is the variety of of options every piece that is not TLX brings to your game. |

As mentioned in the other thread you asked in, TLX is based on a 3" or 6" size of tile, while sets prior to that were typically based on a 7" tile size. Also, some of the walls are taller than the TLX walls. The scale of the artwork is the same, though, so it looks fine on the table next to each other. |

Note that some "older" modern sets already have 3/6 inch based tiles : police department and Bank, for example, use 3 / 6" tiles for the building, while still using 7" for external tiles (7.5" if using 1.5" grid) |
