One of the great challenges of SiegeWorks is it's hard to tell what should be in it if we don't know exactly what is in Castleworks Ultimate.  

Siege or Castle (one of them) should include:

Ruined walls

Defensive siege works (hoardings!!)



Other things I'd like to see in Siegeworks:

Ram/Bore and Ramshed or Turtle (portable roof that can be used to hide under and hang a ram from)

Sapper's mine (could also be used as an "entrance" to CaveWorks similar to VW's "Dungeon Entrance")

Lots of tents in various sizes, preferably with variations that match the emblems of past sets, and at least one plain-sided one for those who declare no nationality (or want to add their own).

Preferably, at least two variations on a siege tower, of varying degrees of quality/crudity.  Something Dwarves would use and something Orcs would use.

Archers' spikes and portable walls (wheeled out in front of approaching besieging archers to take cover behind).

Ballista, Catapult, and at least two sizes of Trebuchet (large and UTTERLY MASSIVE).

I'll have to hit my source material and study it over...there will be more later.

More for  Castle Works Ultimate than for Siege Works, but hoardings for use in the siege would be nice.
Ditto on the trebuchet.
A tile marking where the sapper's tunnel goes.
I forget what they are caled but  rings of large earthenware pots were often burried around the castle, they would collapse under the weight of siege towers and other siege engines.
Cauldron of boiling oil or lead.
Dead cow (Used to foul drinking supplies.)
A combination siege tower and ram.
A large wooden rabbit from which you, Lancelot and myself will...

And because I like later period games: Cannon

Personally, I'm not *that* concerned about historical accuracy. I *am* concerned about getting a set that can be used for roleplaying under the standard D&D rules. So I would appreciate it if Denny & Co would at least provide siege engines of these sizes, and ships that can carry the 5'x5' ballistas and 10'x10' light catapults...

Of course, if they want to include some more historically accurate weapons as well... the more the merrier!

I agree with Papercut. As a matter of fact, I'll go one step farther - anytime I look at freebies or competitors, it makes me appreciate WWG even more. No one, and I mean NO ONE has anything with anywhere near the quality of WWG products. I managed to click the link before it was removed, spent all of 5 seconds at the site, and flipped back here - because the work was just not up to the standard that (in a very short time) I have become accustomed to.


Ahem. On to Siegeworks:

One set of things I would like to see for SW are all the camp accoutrements. Besides the aforementioned tents, pavilions and such, I'd like to see campfires fires, big cookware pots, various weapons racks (stacks of arrows and bolts, among them), haybale archery practice targets, perhaps a small forge, and a table with maps strewn across it.
