which is better for world works print outs?  buying a new printer today and was curious.

From my own experience, a Color Laser Printer is obnoxiously expensive, both baseline and for toner cartridges (check the latter before you commit to purchasing)...but if you can get one, the results are stunning.  

Laser will give you outstanding results as far as printout is concerned, but make certain that it can take cardstock without choking. And as Andorax mentions, make sure you can handle the cost without choking - you think inkjet cartridges are expensive?  :o

Another thing about lasers is that the toner can tend to crack and flake off on corners and cut edges. Or so I've heard - I'm a cheap inkjet man myself.

As someone who's tried a couple of times working with color lasers and inkjets. Stick with the inkjet my friend. As Slinky has said the toner will crack on all fold lines. I was working on a nice little model that I had recolored in Photoshop, printed on a color laser at *cough*work*cough*, went to work on the model at lunchtime and nearly cried for the rest of the day as fold after fold cracked and my beautiful turned into a crappy looking paper wad. As a friend once told me "Don't go there, don't do that." It's good advice. If you don't believe me take a simple one page model that's got a couple of folds, print it on an inket and then take it to Kinko's and have them print one copy on one of their fancy color copiers and build the part.

Good info here..  saved me some heartache!  I was planning on doing some printing on our high end color laser at work.
