Post subject: | 1/300th scale models (6mm) |
I have been looking for models for SGOM (sky galleons of mars) and I came across a series of paper models created by fans for the game. RAFM currently has the license to produce models for the line but is concentrating upon 25mm. They are looking to expand the line of miniatures that support the space 1899 line but are not interested in the expense of producing a plastic line. A line of 6mm paper models would increase support of the players while not impacting their other lines, but it may help the sales of their other lines. The fan produced models assemble together well, but they do not have very good graphics on them. If RAFM is open to discussion, it would take very little to get the fans on board to have a product produced in short order. I can provide links to the various things if Denny and crew are interested. best regards Dalton |

At present, to the best of my knowledge, no has the license to manufacture Sky Galleons miniatures in any scale. RAFM has always held the license to create figures in 25mm scale, and it'd be great if they were able to expand that license to do ther scales. As the creator of most of the fan-created Sky Galleons papermodels available I'd like to know what could be done to improve the graphics, or what you would like to see them looking like? Actually, this is not the appropriate forum for you to chat with me on this topic, I do have a blog at Paper Worlds though and your opinion is welcome. I would also be very happy to see a company like WWG apply their texturing skills to a line of 1/300 scale Sky Galleons. ![]() |

I'd love to see them do things like Villageworks for it, too. My 6mm Napoleonics could use the buildings! Tom |

I'll have to give that a shot. Dont think I'll do the interiors for Shallendrak or anything at that scale, but a good exterior version shouldnt be too hard to do. Tom |
