Post subject: | the Maiden's Lower Rat Lines... |
I am having trouble getting the lower rat lines connected on the masts. I have tried 4 different glues (monoaqua, Nori, Zig 2 way glue, and elmers) I have tried glue gunning it as it is recommended in the instructions but I always have 1 flap/tab pop loose. I wait approx 5 minutes for each to set up but to no avail. my main glue I use is MonoAqua from Tombo and it has worked very well for me so far. what is everyone else using? I have been looking all over for UHU like in the directions but have no luck.... (lol) Anyone else having problems with the lower rat lines? Thanks, Mhodi |

Transparencies can be a bit of an annoyance to secure using normal glue. The best results I had were by using a glue gun. If the lines are still giving you sticking issues try applying a bead of glue ontop of the ratlines at the secure point as well (around the entire mast). I didnt get a chance to try superglue but I'm guessing there could be some positive results. Oh...and welcome to the forums ![]() |

Ha! Cool to see somebody else who uses mono aqua! I figured I was the only person in the world who'd ever bought the stuff. I really like it. It gives you a lot of working time, but dries very solidly. But, yeah, I definitely'd recommend superglue when nothing else works. |

I may be just a hair too late, Mhodi....but did you see my suggestions for a conversion to the Maiden to make a longer ship? I was just curious, as I'd love to hear how it turns out, should you (or anyone else) see fit to give it a try. http://www.worldworksgames.com/forum/vi ... .php?t=589 |
