Post subject: | Help me build Keep on the Shadowfell |
Hi all! It's been a long time, but D&D 4E is the exact excuse I've needed to get back into cardstock. I'm certain this will cause me to buy about 5 sets in pretty rapid succession, but I need a good starting point (to supplement Gothic Realms.) My first project: the two dungeon levels of Keep on the Shadowfell. My goal is to do it in 2.5 D style... no perimeter walls (I find they make it harder for people to see the action), but lots of props and elevations. I need a set that will let me build elevated floors and actual 3D steps (not staircases, but steps carved out of the rock) instead of tiles. I'd also like some pillars that are more than just two pieces of cardstock in an X. (I'm kind of eyeing HWII for that, but I hope there's another source to start.) Any suggestions? Thanks! Steve |

Don't have long, but I think minichunk is the set you're looking for. Sacretis |

Interiorworks Pubs & Inns has the stairs you describe in wood. Much of the wooden furnature might also be useful in your game. Tom |

I don't have Keep on the Shadowfell, but a few things come to mind: First is a 2.5D set that works pretty well for your normal dungeon. There are also Kitbashes that help that set out. Stair down tiles in stone in a couple different configurations: And Stairs up 3D: [/url] |

LD2062... thanks! The store window shows weird on my computer. The SHOP CATALOG dropdown background stops halfway under the USER FORUM button, but the text extends further (the - d20 from the first Dinas FFord is to the right of the window on my screen.) Therefore I didn't even see the kitbash selection further right. Maybe I need to adjust a screen setting? Or maybe it's just Vista... |

The shop catalogue is displaying very strangely for me since, I think, Wormhole was released. The background only covers four columns, and the "Modelset Extras "Kitbash" Homepage! is off to the right, clashing with the page header image colours. Also, the fourth column, Adventures and Game Aids is spreading out of the background area, making some characters at the ends of product titles also clash with the background. I'm using IE-7 BTW, not sure if that helps solve the problem or not. Arabin |
