One might also try B&W on colored stock such as blue or green depending on what type "eerie look" was desired. |

Transparencies! What a very cool idea, thanks Papercut, Typo and others. I was going to do a little bit of kitbashing and put damage overlays on the pdf's, now I'll combine that with transparencies. I'll get a pic up when it's finished, but having just finished one maiden, don't hold your breath. Steve |

So much for "don't hold your breath" I've printed out some decking on transparencies in B&W and it looks great, thanks to WWG and their beautiful textures. I didn't try it with colour as I thought it might be too washed out on the transparency and I've already started painting my undead pirate crew in shades of grey. Supporting the decks will be a problem, clear acrylic sheet should fix that. Looking at the pdf's it should be possible to cut down the printing by just printing one side of each piece, is it possible to cut and paste using the full version of Acrobat? Does anyone have any experience doing this? Steve |

I think Slinky posted, a while back, about how to use the "print selection" option to select a specific portion of the page to print. If he doesn't reply soon himself, I'll track him down and point him this way. |

I know that in Acrobat 6 at least you can crop the page and save that out as a seperate file or you extract images from the file and drop them into your favorite draw/paint/layout package to make a custom page of just the parts you need. I don't know about earlier versions of Acrobat, so your mileage may vary. Of course if you already have Photoshop you could just open the page you want and select, copy and paste the parts you want into a new file. Hope this helps. |
