Could WWG develop a quickie once-a-week email update (I hesitate to use the word "newsletter" since it doesn't have to be very long or time-consuming to create) for its members? Just a "here's where we're at this week" kind of thing. It could list the status (percent complete or something) of all projects, update on how getting the word out is going, include a weekly hint or tip, a message (short) from Denny and Paul, maybe a link to a graphic showing an enticing screen shot of something you're working on. A link to the poll of the week would be cool too. I'd also like to see (soon!) the promotional materials that we can use to get the word out. Business cards, posters, flyers, postcards, etc, that we can download in PDF format and print ourselves. The flyers and postcards could be printed on card stock and include an enticing sample to build, maybe a small house from Villageworks or some other sample model. Let us do some of your footwork Denny! Anybody else have some ideas along these lines? What do you think of a weekly email? |

Here's an odd question... Would Denny mind if I (or some other chap) took the release notes you put out for the Maiden and posted them to the EnWorld new products announcement forum. If Denny says no, then is it OK if we draft up our own, with a link to Denny's site? The point is, maybe we can scoop these new products for you. What's in it for us? If WWG gets some more business, then WWG makes more products we want, which we can in turn buy. Janx |

Just to reinterate what was said in another thread....Denny, if you can write up a formal "press release" when you release a new product...something more extensive than the front-page blurb, but not quite as verbose as the full product description...that would make for a really easy cut&paste to these other boards to let them know about a new WW release. |

Well it would be cool for a short 1 paragraph from Denny, but we can also cut-paste his full release page to summarize the highlights. Including a link to the main page for that product, and maybe link in a picture from the site would work (you don't shuffle URLs around much do you?) Let me try whipping up the first one on EnWorld for Maiden of the High Seas. If I can do it, that'll save Denny time. Then people can post the one I do over on the other sites. We'll get it worked out. |

Well the first one is in place on enworld, waiting for it to be approved by a moderator. I forgot to put in hyperlinks to the WWG site, and I have to wait to find the post so I can edit it. We'll get the kinks out... It looks nice enough. it's the first 2 paragraphs from the Maiden of the high seas, followed pic#2 from the thumbnails. Great shot to use. |

Once I get the kinks out of my first scoop at EnWorld, I'll go replicate it at: Mortality.net Gamingreport.com 3rdEdition.org Any other standard sites I should hit? Janx |

Denny, for TMP, it really needs to come from you, or your official representative. If it comes from a fan, we won't get front page posting, as we can only post something to the Forum. With a formal press release, you will be able to post color photos, as well as the text you wish to use, to promote your products, with hyperlinks in the press release. Some of us have posted comments in the Forum, but we don't receive the response an official press release will, and we can't post pictures... If you can designate a moderator as a company representative, they could post for you, but Bill Armintrout will require proof they are a legitimate company representative. Cheers! |
