Wow. It seems like my ability to do hobby stuff has seriously declined. Last week I realized my painting skills have gone due south while working on my Space Marines, and today I ran out of steam building some Star Wars Minis scenery. It's just not like me to be halfway through cutting something and thinking to myself "Maybe it's time to put this away for the day." Usually if I am working on something, I am up until ungodly hours because I can't sleep until it's finished. I figured after about 20 hours of kitbashing these walls sections so they are just right, I would be more anxious to build them. Anyways, I have the first few buildings done, and I imagine over the next week or so I will get the rest finished, but it's just a weird feeling to not want to work on it until it is done. Maturity or burnout? |

I recently built up a few of my plastic model kits...I was chagrined to learn that I could not SEE the little pieces. Fortunately I found one of those visors with a flip-down mag lens in front, did the trick. Curse my old eyes! |

Heh - I managed to nick myself with the craft knife four times while building the Arena Works paint station. I got both hands too. Some of those walls are gonna have blood stains. ![]() The Auld Grump |

With my computer dead and at the repair shop I have gone back to using Hirst Arts plaster moulds. Now I have to learn how to paint again ![]() I would not worry too much. I jump around between hobbies and models like crazy. My current hobby rotation is Currently I'm making a HirstArts dungeon for my gurps game (need hexes) I'm also learning javascript so I can help out with a beta test from NBOS Making GURPS Random Generators using Inspiration Pad Pro Designing Paper Clix bases using layered mat board for MechWarrior Defenses (going to use Outpost 105) Finishing my MageKnight and GURPS Hinterland boards So I would not feel too bad. I jump around with my models all the time. No I'm not ADD |

I like to strike while the iron is hot. Before last week, it was nearly a year since I broke out the glue stick, now I'm a card stock mad man. When the inevitable happens, I have miniature painting, model building and CGI to fall back on. Hopefully I won't pick up a new hobby before then. ![]() |

Its just life. While I've gamed since age 8 there have been some long runs when I didn't do anything. I think its healthy to take a break from things sometimes to see what else life has to offer. I've always come back to it. |
