Is this just a car graveyard or a catch all Sanford & Sons sort of operation ... car crushers or busted refrigerators et all? Just curious. I hope we see lots of rust, primer and patchwork paint jobs...... I'm looking forward to this one. |

It would be neat to have one of those magnet car lifter cranes .... I love art in motion! You could build a pyramid of scrap metal too. I'd lay it out it right next to a police impound lot and garage. It would go well with a layout of city blocks I had developed depicting a 'somewhat seedy' side of town, as I recalled it from the 50's, starting down by the docks and working its way around a factory, bars, and such. I might rebuild it. Yep, that junkyard set would be really nice ... inspirational. |

I'm looking forward to this one. Have wanted something like this ever since I saw an awesome handmade junkyard board online somewhere. I can certainly see the simple stack of crushed cars as a box build, but also hope there are some options for miniatures to climb up and be shooting through stacks. No idea how it could be done without taking forever though. In theory, you could make a few dozen of the burnt out cars from Bits of Mayhem with a little modification on the wheels, but that'd take forever to make, and I'm sure whatever you have in mind will look better anyway. I'm also looking forward to seeing how you do the office shack, since there are many ways it could be done, and most of the ones I can think of would have many uses beyond just the junkyard. Arabin |
