I got to say I don't envy WW having to deal with multiple styles.
Simply doing 1" and 1.5" is a hassle. Makes everything 3" lengths which messes with designs. And 3" isn't that small a place. A 3"x3" bathroom
, the villageworks houses where like 4"x4" and 4"x6".
Hexes, I've never tried them. But don't they only lay right in 1 direction? Which means they need to makes multiple hex versions of the same tile?
Frankly I'm worried that the time investments mean sooner or later they'll simply decide to drop some of the formats. Especially since they stopped making clix. I just started playing those games.
Hinterlands seems to be an exception. I think its because it really doesn't use walls. You just drop things on top. The trees and cliffs don't need to be aligned right on the tile lines.
