There's a chance to have "packs" of products in the future of the new store ? I'm out of time to paint (that was a long time ago, and plastic saved my days)... but was reluctant to try the paper minis... but I belive I'll give them a chance... but I would love to see a pack with them all togheter if that make it a bit cheaper !!

If not in your mind to do something like that I'll bought them separated...but to not bought now and find tomorrow the change...

Thing about packages like Firstligh+Retrofit... UrbanMayhem+X... there're a few of them that can be put easyly toghether...for the ones like me that have nearly everithing will be not great thing (except the paper minis ones) but for new people coming maybe can be a push to make the buy

Are you including the ability to run short sales and specials? These have a whole lot of benefits:

• They generate more customers by attracting a) those whose initial price threshold is below your regular price point, and b) those who tend to wait for sales before buying
• They prompt undecided customers to buy before the sale/special runs out
• They help you find out if you've got your pricing point right (without committing you to the lower price, or having to change your prices across the board)
• They increase revenue from slower products
• They generate interest across the wider gaming community (all those "WWG has X on sale" posts)
• They attract new customers, and encourage potential customers (both new and old) to keep visiting the site

Short sales are awesome BUT...big but here...it makes our accounting an absolute nightmare. Because we profit share specific percentages with designers "per product" and based on involvement, running sales becomes an astonishing amount of work on the accounting side.

Its something we are looking at simplifying though and something we certainly would like to offer.

I agree that a sale now and then would be nice. Mix one high ticket item with other oldies but goodies choices. I have no idea if WWG needs any special sales but I'm sure it'd be a hit with customers.

Sooo, when will it be safe to download somrthing from the store?

You wight want to consider running short specials on just one or two products at a time. The trick is to give the special a very short and clearly defined window (e.g. "this weekend's special") and get the word out ahead of time that you will be specialing something. This way you get the benefits, with less of the overhead.

Its safe now and anytime you see the store up and running. Most changes will take place behind the scenes and none of them really conflict with download mechanisms.

Still working on site upgrades. Limited resources...and all that Should see some progress soon along with a bloat of updates.

The things you may or may not be seeing now are teeny, tiny back end tweaks. The BIG changes haven't come online yet

Have you already changed the forum? It looks like the graphics have changed anyway. I like the new look.

The forum won't be going off during the changeover. I'm just working it ahead of the actual webstore site changes.

Is this background plain gray? Or is it subtly shaded?

If it is just gray the lighting in my room is doing a great job of making it look more textured.

I love the new colour scheme of the forums, but the background image is too large. I run at 1680 wide, but rarely have the forums full screen. Since a lot of people still run at 1280 or even 1024, it seems that it'd make more sense to have a background image, then the logo/company name centered as a separate image.

Just my 2p.

I've got a widescreen laptop and the on the forum the logo cuts off at the M in game.

Yeah, its a style sheet issue. I'm fixing it right now It will look correct on everything down to 1024X768. 800X600 might look funky though.

Pretty much done with forum changes at this point. If you give your browsers a refresh you'll see the changes.

The changes we are making to the core store are more than cosmetic so consider this just a little tease of a bunch of good things to come!

Just an FYI...

We are still plugging away at store changes gang (on another server). We won't implement these changes at the current store until we are sure everything works 100%. So by all means continue to use the current store, nothing has changed here yet (other than the forum).

I don't have a solid ETA on this yet other than to say that its on the tail end of being finished.

Still plugging away. Neal Haggard, our resident web guru is hammering at implementation from my mockups (Neal is seriously the man! A brain the size of a small planet.). Lots of changes coming up so its a substantial job. A lot of it centers around more streamlined shopping/search functionality and future-proofing the site to a degree (for new upcoming product types). There's a lot of other handy features coming to help you keep up to date with projects in a transparent and hasslefree way. Oh and loads of eyecandy too of course!

Anyway, thank you for your continued patience. We should have something to show you soon.
