I don't know, I can't remember what it was at back at 5-22 when posted, but that was 2 whole weeks ago, if this were a "normal" Matt production it sems like we would have had it by now...

I think it has more to do with the store update.

One slight glitch with the purchase. After I'd paid, by PayPal, it took me to the download page. However, instead of showing Swampworks it displayed my previous purchase, Mayhem Junk Yard.

I was able to get to Swampworks all right by going through my customer account, but this glitch might cause problems for others, so I thought I'd let you know.

I got it last night, started building some of it already, and wrote a review.

Now I am trying (unsuccessfully) to register to upload my pics so I can show it off!

About to buy it, but I wanted to mention that I got the same bug on the Paypal redirect after purchasing a bunch of stuff last week. Like Badger, I was able to get to it via my account links.

Well in the process of ordering My Ewok Village... and atually picking up the First Pathfinder Module set as I like the look of many of the seperate bits.

Hav to check on Paper and Ink later, but I think after I get my craft area orginized tommorrow night, I have two projects that are a go, as I just finished up one last night.

I already found a kit bash I want...

A larger area that is like the woodenwalk ways, kin of like the 6x6 squares you could do with Altlantis, that can be raised up or on the ground. I would like to be able to make a larger area that's raised, but doesn't have a Hut in the center. Like a meeting area, but off the ground.
I think I assumed it would have one.

I second this, although it should not be that hard to bash. For now, I would just glue several walkways together on one piece of foamcore after trimming off the edges that would be "interior."

Yeah I am toying around in photoshop with doing that, if my photo-Fu is not up to it, I may just do it as a physical bash, like you describe.

I showed the store image to the wife on Friday, made the decision on Saturday and bought and downloaded today. Beautiful. Think it will work well for the Erin Celtic Mythos game as well (a Sidhe village), but with the new Piquet Fantasy rules due out any moment, we are reexamining the wood elves, and this would be great for them. Then always an Indiana Jones sort of thing with Gaslight. Great stuff.

I am just in the making of the swampwood set. It looks very beautiful and promising.

BUT please could you in the future place the 1,5" and gridless variants in a seperate folder? In this set you mix everything wildly so I cannot just print the series out. Instead I have to control each and every pdf document before printing to exclude those gridless or 1,5" pages which I dont need. This is tedious and time consuming and could be avoided in the future if you reorganize your sets into seperate 1", 1,5" and gridless folders. Thanks.

You could install the free version of CutePDF - it is like Acrobat Pro - you can take pages out and re-order them. This way if you are only using one style (me Grid-less) you would remove all the other types. Of course you have your zip file with the unblemished pages.

Considering I print out wildy variable numberrs of certain pages (and espically for swamp) i find it much easier with everything of a type in one file.

I printed out the 1 inch grid for the tops of the platforms (the curverd outter edges), and since mine are so high off the table, they got the gridless for the bottom, they make nice undersides. I like having them in the same document, as I then just print out say 10 of one then 5 of the other, a page at a time. I never print out a whole set.

once or twice I've wasted some ink by printing the whole set. But normally it isn't a problem.

However, I would also prefer more folders, because of kitbashing. My computer is a low budget laptop that like 5 years old. So everything grinds to a halt when I open GIMP and the adobe file thats like 15 pages long to start copying the bits I need.

Really though I'm not real worried about it.

Try a program like PDFTK Builder that will split the pdf into individual pages. That way you only have to open the page with the parts that you need.

Its not the question that I cannot split a pdf. (I have the full version of acrobat) Its the question that I dont want to do it . Splitting the pdf in several subfolders for 1", 1,5" or gridless is naturally a job which should be done by WW BEFORE putting it on the net as a service to its customers.

That’s your opinion, as to how WWG should orginize the files. Others will have different opinions. I have no issues with the current set up, as I have used gridless and gridded for different things in the same build, and having to go dig around for another version would just be a pain.As it stands now it is likely one less step that reduces errors. As they can look at a file and see gridless, 1 inch and 1.5.. Check, one of each, move to next item that needs versions. Splitting it would increase the likely hood of some part getting missed someplace.

I dont think that manyof the customers need and use several formats of the pdfs at the same time. In fact I think that 90% use just 1" for their DnD or Savage World games. I am not against the exotic formats for mageknight figures but in my roleplaying circle I dont know anyone who needs those. Former projects of WW did seperate the different formats into different folders and this was a rationale and good solution. Why they changed it in swampwood is a riddle to me.

I can't speak for SwampLands because I don't have it yet, but it sounds similar to the way that the majority of set have been for some time.

I'm confused. I bought and dl'd it on 6/11 and for groundtiles I got a folder with 3 files it in. 1 inch grid, 1.5 inch grid, and gridless. 3 separate pdf docs in one folder. Do you mean the files should be in separate folders? Why?

Well the groundtiles are ok. With these files WW did the logical seperation. But not with the others like canopy etc.

Ok I got it now. I hadn't actually printed or looked at those yet. I was focused on the tiles and a 2'x8' layout (which meant convert to 6" squares). I could see how that would bug some people.

I'm on the other side of the fence though. I like it. Only because I don't usually print off the entire pdf of *any* of the files though. Always just this or that.

What I like about it is I can 'see' all the other parts in the same doc without wondering where the part I'm looking for is.
