Hi all, just bought my first WWG set so thought I would check out the forums for some hints and tips and to say hi. The tutorial videos set me up pretty well so I bought the 1" Chunky Dungeon set for my D&D4 and Descent games. As this is my first experience with card craft I started slow and made a couple of wall sections. Very straightforward stuff, I really wanted to check I had the right tools more than my ability to build. Built two wall sections so then I pushed onto some columns requiring a bit more intricate handling. These I was less happy with, given their 10-sided shape I found it a little more difficult to meet the edges of the top and bottom of the cylinder so I was left with small overhangs. Gluing the final tab was a bit tricky as well, I inserted my blade into the gap and rotated it so I could use the flat edge, however it was tough to get an even bond. Any suggestions here would be appreciated. I plan to keep making these two items for a while as I can create a basic third dimension to my tabletop games and to grow confidence. but I already have my eye on some of the more complex builds! ![]() One last question, these will be transported regularly to a different location where our gaming takes place, can anyone suggest a portable storage solution? I’m from the UK btw. |

Welcome aboard! A big plastic tub with a lid works fine -- these don't really weigh anything, so they don't crush each other when piled for the most part. |

Welcome Stickboy (and thank you for your support)! Chunky can be an addictive build once you get into the swing of things. On the issue you're having, the right glue is probably the most important thing to focus on. Sometimes getting at tabs can be a challenge, so having something with good tack is important. There's an expansive and ongoing dedicated glue thread here (check the later pages for updated info): http://www.worldworksgames.com/forum/vi ... php?t=1031 On the issue of storage, look here: http://www.worldworksgames.com/forum/vi ... php?t=1188 |

I totally agree about crayola. To me they are the best markers to use. Sharpie and prismacolor both have a terrible tendency to bleed. I've NEVER had that problem with crayola. Also crayola are incredibly cheap. With the back to school sales I've gotten the the 8 color pack (black, gray, brown, green, blue, red - the ones commonly needed) for $2! I used to pay that for 1 prismacolor! Last year I bought like 6 packs and still have most of them. |
