will an expansion set include diagonal, 45 degree, hallways?
I have several dungeon layouts that have rooms and hallways on a 45, not just a simple 90 degree.

i might need to explain better.
so far all the hallways leave the rooms straight out (90 degrees) and away from the rooms. most layouts i use have several places that a hallway strikes out at a 45 degree angle from a room or an intersection may have a 45 degree hallway.

hope that makes sense.

There are both short and long angled walls in this release to create angled rooms and or hallways.

Why are the pit traps triple layered cardstock???

I'm sure you had a reason, but I can't for the life of me figure out why you did it that way. It doesn't look like there were intended to be hidden, and double layers seem to do quite well to keep tiles from warping... So why triple layer them???

Really a great set! Thank you guys for your amazing work! I can't wait to assembly one or two dungeons (sadly, it's examinatoin time in German schools, so there is little time for a teacher like me. But I see a light at the end of the tunnel... and it is likely to be a dwarven forge!)

I started printing out some sample walls last night from this set, and I have to say ... I love the color palette! I have been mostly using Himmelveil Sewers, so the Dwarven Kings walls seem so bright and crisp in comparison. I love it!

Wow. This is an excellent looking Dungeon set. It looks like it could be assembled only using the floor tiles and inserting only the doors on the posts. I think that would be very useful for us Tactical Dungeon game players. (WHQ, SoGd, Decent).

I'm slightly confused about where the short 1, 1.5, and 2 in walls can be used.

The theory is that you can use those shorter walls in order to create irregularly shaped rooms. In that case, the posts will be unanchored. Unanchored posts work as long as you make sure that there is an anchor somewhere along the line of walls (1 or two walls away). An easy test of this idea is to make an L shaped room on a 6 inch tile. As long as a couple of the posts have anchors, the structure stays fairly rigid. Pretty brilliant imo...

Because I don't remember seeing those Dwarves in the set....

Man, they came out of nowhere. Looking forward to seeing these.

You can sure say that again...waitin to see some kind of preview. I was was wondering if there would be more props and such added at a later date. Imma gettin excited about this one!

I plan to re-texture the bottom side with basic floor so that the pit traps can be mixed with a few other trap designs - or nothing at all - and unveiled as necessary.

Epic set. Awesome, amazing, wonderful and all those other positive adjectives. I simply love it. I haven't built every single item in it yet, but most of them I have. And it's just so amazing. Can't wait for more boosters!

Perhaps the only thing that makes me a tiny little bit sad is that the archways only work on the top level. You can't put anything on top of them, obviously.

Is there any news on Treasures and Tombs? There hasnt even been a thread started on this one yet and the seed was planted quite some time ago. Oh im not bein pushy, not sitting by the computer anxiousley awaiting an update, Hahahaha, just curious.

As far as I know TnT is slated for release sometime next week, barring incident.

That would be great! Of course, Now theres going to be ONE more project to work on!

Look I know it's "Done" as such now it's in cue for release - I would say with in the next 2 -4 week area but that's just me spit balling.

Great news, I just started building a large number of pieces from Lost Halls of the Dwarven Kings + Vaults of the Ancients.

Any hint about the content of this expansion?

At a guess it sounds like props.

Sarcophaguses
Magic items
Traps
Doors
Trapped Doors
Maybe a dragon?

That would be quite epic. But a WWG-style paper dragon would be worth its own release.

Heh, beaten to it. Dungeon Linx is one of those ideas that I wish had gone further. I can give a reasonable guess as to why it didn't, but I really wish that the deal had gone through.

Yeah that one was quite a story. Basically the components you see there were slated for a tangible product a few years back. The main backers dropped out at the last minute due to the failure of Wizkids plastic dungeon product for Heroclix (they couldn't give the stuff away apparently). Of course I was adamant that this was something unique but it was too late.

Not long after WOTC starting pumping out their card tile sets...lol.

Treasures and Tombs? Any updates?

Aubrey is putting the final touches on promos. Shouldn't be too terribly long now.

I could use it in the next day or two for a game this weekend.....Gothic Realms TLX too, for that matter.
