Odessa, TX apparently got something like 12" of snow over 2 hours. EVERYTHING was shut down.

Meanwhile, Utah has yet to see any major snow. What is WRONG with this world?!

It was like the 7th or 8th...I was just leaving from home (Torrington) to go to FL and a buddy texted me a pic of snow in his yard in Harwinton...

Just got back from a trip to the old home country (the UK) and it was surprising how warm (relatively) it was, and this is from someone who's lived in South Florida for the last nine years - previous Novembers I've been over it's been FREEZING. This time around, I barely needed to wear a jacket at all, just a sweater was plenty. Lots of rain, though - in Cumbria, they've apparently had the most rain in a thousand years; there's been a ton of flooding and several towns were looking a lot like New Orleans did after Katrina on the news.

Um... for those of us who are enjoying the lack of snow in Utah: Absolutely nothing is wrong with it!

Oh, don't get me wrong - I have ABSOLUTELY no problem with it! I would LOVE it if it didn't snow until about December 20th, stayed on the ground until the 30th, then went away.

But heavy snows in Texas at the same time? It's crazy!

Fair enough. Even after more than 10 years here, I still think that snow shouldn't fall until December... at the earliest! Oh, well. By the same token, I expect it to be gone by mid- to late-March. This whole "It can snow all the way up to May - or even June!" business just doesn't fly in my world.

But Entaro we aren't just discussing the weather, don't you know that in secret that is what Deadfall is all about, it's WorldWORKSgames new breakthrough system to get realistic weather into the games.

With the advent of robocutting they have a snowflake file that turns a full sheet of paper into tiny tiny scale snowflakes, there is also a cardstock dispenser, similar to a cross between the Red Sector platforms and the dice tower. There is this big scafold that is mounted over the scene, and you load the Robocut (or by hand... ouch) snowflakes into it, and gently shake and snow falls into the scene for Working weather, works for a sand storm as well, but you just print and cut either yellow paper, or use a lot of yellow brown ink.

the delievery method for the water keeps having problems with the water tubes and the trough, they are made from transperincey (like the rigging for the Maiden, or the forcefields in Firstlight etc.) biggest problem (i hear) is getting the right sized holes for a good scatter of rain as it comes out of the main water trough on the top.

I had started this project solo but an interested second party came to the table. Since then there's been a very long series of negotiations and structuring on various related issues. We're very close to wrapping up the ugly parts and I'm hoping an announcement is not far off at this point.

Because the relationship is so complex its one of those situations where I really can't say anything until things are 100% locked down.

The larger scope of the project had the big pause button pushed on it until I was certain as to which way the relationship was heading.

There's been a lot of work going on in other areas.

Just a quick update;

We're hoping for some more solid info here at some stage next week. I'll explain why this has taken so long once things are locked down either way.

I can honestly say that this one isn't a case of Ungerland Standard Time

I would have never uttered a peep had I known just how fantastically interwoven and deep things would become. In my defense, none of us really foresaw where the path would ultimately lead us at that early stage. Hence my poorly timed and short sighted teasing.

I can't really say boo until we are past a couple important benchmarks. We're dying to share though and we are working knuckle-to-bone in order to reveal all these magical secrets!

We're pushing to make some form of official announcement in the not so distant future.
