I hope it's okay to post a greetings message. A way way long time ago I was regular here but for the life of me, I can't remember what my user name was. I had one of the old-style badges too. Might have even been my real name but I've given that up these days for the safer 'alias' option.
I do recall many of the posters who are still here (Auld Grump of course and many others I recall) and I'm excited to say I'm "back in". My wife and I started a family and 2 babies.young children will keep you away from the game table 9 time out of 10... so I vanished.
Anyway, I am SO HAPPY that WWG is doing well and now that my kids are getting old enough to enjoy my hobby (bed time stories have been light hearted D&D diceless adventuring for years now) I took the plunge.
I just ordered by Silhouette SD and am about to go order Terrain Lynx and get caught up. I would dearly love to hear that the Maiden is going to be converted to the cutter format (or whatever). That was the set I was putting together when I decided I needed to focus on more 'dad time'.
Anyway, I will hopefully post some pics of my builds. I need to rebuild everything. All the old terrain got sacrificed in a moment of insanity clearing out my office for kids bedroom. Oh well, it's been worth it.
I have to say, the cutter is the thing that pulled me back in fully. I don't mind the folding but the cutting by hand was just ugly. This is pretty exciting stuff!
