Software issues. I am forced to regress to stone-age stuff rather than the relatively sleek stuff I've been using.

It does not like Vista AT ALL...so my laptop installation is really frankensteined to get it to work at all....but I will be back on track soon.

VISTA .... no wonder! Thank goodness there is a strong third party supply of XP machines. Hop on eBay and look at the great deals there for corporate machines ... loaded with XP Pro and super durable. Cheap too! Just a thought.

Windows 7 seems more stable than Vista but that's not helping you now.

Success! Tonight I did some tinkering and somehow got the flyout menus working which is a big plus, gives me a lot more working area on a small laptop screen.

Some of the 3D models are over 100K polys!! That's more about my minimal 3D skills than any huge level of detail, although there is a fair bit of detail...and LOVELY stains...

The TLX system is allowing me to go NUTS on detail, without worrying about geometry!! Such a nice break...

That is much MORE than a projection booth...SO MUCH MORE...

It is the home of two mighty IMAX 3D SR projectors...behind the chair on the right they are churning through two copies of JIM CARREY RUINS XMAS. They are incredibly loud.

The yellow control panel on the far left is running the projectors. Just out of shot is the audio panel. Through the window you can see the top right corner of a 16 X 21 meter screen.

If anyone is interested I can post some more pics of the whole setup. I seem to remember doing that some time ago, but it's been a while I guess.

There are parts of the world where swamp cooling works better than central air - Utah being one of them. Then again, there's sort of an upper limit to how much they can cool, and multi-level structures just don't work.

Oh, and I took the bus last night! It was not all cupcakes though...it got STUCK in the middle of the bus terminal. When we got out to push, three of us were carried away by wolves.

It's intense here. I have not seen a single plow on a public road yet. It's a good foot of snow that has been blown around like crazy.

Anyways I got some booth pics so I just have to upload 'em.

Got a crazy wall done today!! It's INN-SAAAaaane. Pushing the poly count pretty darn hard...just how much WILL it take before it crashes!!!

Just checking, you mean that First Light will still be the set to get for props?

And a couple of requests for Titan:
1. Big cargo doors - specifically, doors big enough to put a decent size vehicle, fighter, or very large cargo through - think minimum 3" (15 foot) wide and two levels high.
2. Grills - specifically for ducting and engineering access through walls and between floors.

No, that digital pics of my work are used as consoles in First Light.

There will not be as many props as with FL, FL is insane anyways.

So far I have a large portal that fits in a TLX 6 inch wide wall piece, and a standard size door that fits in a 3 inch wide piece.

A more specialized cargo bay will come in a future set, but the big door may fit the bill for you, for now.
