I've been messing around with stones edges Orbital station, but I am SO tired of the walls falling over, getting knocked askew, etc. I am SO looking forward to this release!

There will probably not be any new pics until I get the first physical builds done. In fact...the teaser at the start of this thread is now a little out of date, I have changed and tweaked the heck out of those early walls.

This is closer to the Nostromo than anything I have ever done, specifically "C" Deck.

AFAIK some bits of the Nostromo are still standing at Shepperton Studios. Some were re-dressed and used for Red Dwarf.

Struggling to get rolling again after the freakin holidays. Having Windows 7 issues with the laptop. I also have to fix the freakin' floors of Mayhem Mega Mall before I do anything else.

Whew! Being single again means I have to learn to cook too, and do laundry and pretty much everything else.

To top it off a new mod pack got released for my flight sim, il-2 Sturmovik, wish I had more time to fly, it looks really gorgeous now. The S-79, the Fulmar and Sea Hurri, the Sea Fury, the Mig-17 are new planes and are bags of fun to fly. I just have no tiiiiiime!

Even worse I am actually getting kind of a social life now, go figure...

Of all the classes that I took in high school, Home Economics is the one that gets used every day. (Our school required you to take either Shop or Home Ec. each semester, and you had to take whichever one you had not taken the previous semester.)

I recently got very annoyed with some of my players when they were astounded that I could cook shepherd's pie without a cookbook. Shepherd's pie. From a cookbook. Why the heck would anyone need a cookbook for shepherd's pie?! Answer: They never took Home Ec.. None of them cooked for themselves above Shake 'n' Bake.

Yes..I do not have what you would call a developed palate, in fact I wish I could take space pills and not have to eat at all.

So I've been figuring out a feeew things...I can reliably make French Onion Soup, but with leeks so it;s Welsh Onion Soup. I even bought some of those little bowls!

I can make pretty good beef stew too.. and a decent Reuben sandwich. My next project is Corned Beef Hash, the food of the gods.

Mostly I eat deli-type food, or at work.

Oh... Now your speaking my language! Unfortunately, however, I've yet to find anything resembling Corned Beef Hash here in Spain. Fortunately this good ol' boy can make good ol' Southern Fried Chicken outta these Spanish Chickens.

Hey, somewhere there needs to bee a can of Corned Beef Hash in the Titan set. Maybe hidden like an easter egg :wink:

Hash (not hash browns - same shredded or diced potatoes, but with corned beef and maybe onions added - could be a local variant), burn 'em means dark toast - twice through the toaster. Everything else dead on! And I'll take a blue plate, Joe, and a pair of sinkers.

The last place I heard the lingo at went out of business a few years ago - The Miss Portland Diner.

i think Hash/Hash browns may be a regional thing too

A Blue plate would be a Blue plate special?..meat potatoes and veg ? Joe is easy...a cup of joe ..a cup of coffee. A pair of Sinkers..sounds like the slang for a life preserver...which is Doughnuts...though I had not heard them called sinkers before

All major food groups covered...a fine meal...grin
Shame about that dinner closing Gruimp...looked like an interesting place

I used to eat greasy spoon joints regularly way back when I was a field service tech in the UK...the slang is similar...and the food was, mostly, good and always cheap

Donuts were called sinkers back when it was traditional to dunk the (often slightly stale) donuts in your coffee. One major chain even made donuts with little 'handles' (bulges), just for that purpose.

Best corned beef hash I ever had was at the Crystal Palace Winnie the Pooh breakfast buffet in Walt Disney World. Seriously. I had two plates of the stuff, it was so good. Ruined me on hash from anywhere else, and it's kind of pricey to go down there when I need a fix.

+1 for the whole buffet. We took the kids to the CP last year (my first time there as well even after going to Disney a dozen or so times) and it was more than worth the price.
