Also, users will only get to see the icons once they've already *bought* the product, so putting in fancy icons will do squat for the sales of a set.

You could argue that it will increase further sales, but the effect of the icons has to be miniscule compared to the effect of the quality of the product itself.

You could also argue that fancy icons would encourage people who have not yet bought the set to buy it. I.e. it might persuade people looking at pirated copies. But we already know that line of reasoning isn't going to carry much weight with Denny!

How about one simple beautiful folder icon for each Mac and Windows? Doesn't have to be a big deal, doesn't have to take a lot of time to do, doesn't have to be argued over, just a nice folder icon for WWG fans to use any way they want.

I'm not particularly opposed to having an icon, just pointing out it'll most likely have zero effect on sales. I don't think the couple extra files would be that onerous though. How about just a small version of the skyline-with-gears logo?

Actually, none of the Favorites icons (i'm on IE for developer reasons) have icons on my system. And as the PR guy for WWG, I have a lot of web sites bookmarked. From various vendors to various forum sites.

EnWorld and GamingReport are the old boring icons on my system. Might be a configuration issue.
