I've thought about this same issue myself. One of the many WWG projects I've considered is a complete village. While VillageWorks as is would be perfect for a skirmish game on the streets of the town, etc.; just using the buildings as obstacles and terrain. For RPGs, my obsessive nature makes me want a complete-to-scale layout. If the party ducks into the shop on the corner to evade the guards, I want to be able to lift up the building and voila! There's the floor plan of the store underneath. ![]() I realize that an entire village -even one with just a handful of shops, a tavern, and a scattering of huts- would take up some serious table-space, but it sure would be fun to make and play. ![]() |

The has prepainted resin buildings with removable roofs. Of course, for the price of one building you can probably print several whole villages using WorldWorks. YMMV |

Addendum; You could also do something like WRAITH did with his villageworks. Take a look at his photo gallery located Or like Shatteredragon did You might be able to use some of those ideas to take VillageWorks and InteriorWorks and combine them. The interior of the Captain's Cabin for The Maiden can also give you some ideas on how to combine InteriorWorks with VillageWorks. (i.e., transparent windows, opening doors, etc.) Some of the detailed work takes quite a bit of time. |

Plain and simple, IW has a different take on the scale of buildings than VW had. There's no denying it. However, there's no reason why these two philosophies can't be brought together into some semblance of agreement. Consider what WRAITH did, as mentioned above. Consider also that one can combine multiple IW buildings together to make a larger single building, particularly using the single-slope roof. I've had some success in the past combining numerous roofs together when I assembled my Grand Cathedral for the YWYW contest. Such a thing is easily doable for larger inns, manor-houses, and so forth. It takes a bit of creativity and effort, but it's very doable in the long run. |
